Bedding poor didn't fit properly. Bed base larger than mattress . Bike and car being reved up in car park effecting ability to get to sleep.

The bed was probably the most uncomfortable hotel bed I have ever slept on, the quilt was too small for the bed and too.thin so we were cold all night. At breakfast we were given a teapot that tbh should have been thrown out, it didn't have a handle on the lid just a hole where the handle should have been

The hotel is a budget hotel and was value for money. The staff were friendly and professional.

Overcooked breakfast food and dirty tea and coffee pots at breakfast. Hole in carpet in the room and used tissue in the floor.

There was a strong smell throughout the hotel. When we entered our room, whatever the cleaners use as air freshener, it was extremely strong and overpowering. I had to open all the windows to air the room out. The mattress was very very firm and I woke up in pain. The entire hotel is in dire need of a refurb.

The staff were very friendly and had a sense of humour. Even though the bar was closed in the morning, the staff still were more than happy to serve us (non alcoholic drinks). The shower was great and straight forward to use. There was a hair dryer, iron, dressing table, flat screen TV, wardrobe and bedside tables in the room. The curtains are very dated but they're nice and heavy and kept a lot of light out of the room.

Had to ask for a chair so I could sit at the desk in the room and use my laptop. The starter (Breaded Mushrooms) were not cooked properly and still had ice in the middle, they were replaced.

The hallway to our room smelt like damp. It was very strong. The shower had no power in the room and the toilet took forever to refill to flush. The showers at the pool were better than the one in our room. The breakfast was ok but could have had a bit more variety.

I liked the location, and the swimming pool was good and the facilities at the pool were also very good.

The hotel was tired and in places dirty. My daughter put her clothes in the bedside cabinet and they came out covered in dust. The bowls at breakfast were dirty and my ordered tea never arrived (I didnt mention it as we were short on time but I'm sure the staff would have sorted it). In the morning the fire alarm was being tested but no one warned us so it gave my daughter a fright thinking that we needed to evacuate!

The pool was great for my daughter and I and the other fitness facilities also looked good. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating and let us leave our bags there while we were at the zoo.

Not really a complaint, but a full length mirror would be great. There are mirrors everywhere, especially in the bathroom, but none full length. Definitely space for one. It was somewhat cold when we had tea in the restaurant part and had to ask for some heating. I ordered a specific Gin with my meal, this was not available, however, the waiter advised that he didn't know much about alcohol and would find out what others there were. However, he came back with a list of non Gin drinks. I then approached the bar and asked what other Gin options where there and he didn't have a clue. Luckily I quickly identified one and had to point it out. Bar staff need to be able to identify the difference between a Whiskey and a Gin etc. and know what drinks they have to offer. Signal on the TV wasnt great.

The rooms were very spacious, (including the bathroom) with a comfortable couch to sit on. The bed was very comfortable. Room was bit chilly but put the heating on to warm up and was then really cosy. The room we had (no.50), was really quiet, even though there was a dog staying nexdoor. Great nightssleep. Breakfast was good, no complaints. We had tea at the hotel, both had ambshank, was lovely and we didnt wait too long. Staff were all very helpful, happy and polite. We didnt use the pool so cant review that, however we did go and have a look and it looked pretty quiet.

The property needs a deep clean and or refurbishment. The room we stayed in and the health suite were filthy. I stripped the bed prior to our departure (as I always do) to find a bloody duvet and what seemed like blood stained pillows. Spa lockers broken and filthy (full of mud) Changing room needs a power wash. Jacuzzi looked very scummy and sauna. Granted the stay was not expensive, however I would still expect a better standard of cleanliness. Staff we met were very attentive and friendly

We were asked if we would like to pay for a Disco and Dinner on Boxing Day. The idea was nice but there were only 14 people at the event which made a dull atmosphere. They messed up my husband's dinner.

The room was large and had a four poster bed. The bathroom was large. Most of the food was good.
