There was nothing to dislike. The property has its quirks like any property does (that third step is a doozy), but we didn't have a single complaint about our stay.

Our stay here was wonderful. The lodge was clean and warm, and we had everything we needed for our stay. The views and privacy are second to none. The road noise is easily overcome in the lounge with conversation or television. There are family board games and blurays for rainy days. The lodge was a wonderful place to set off for walks, meals, or shopping in the nearby towns and villages. Being allergic to dogs I was concerned about previous guests who had brought their pets with them but I let Sarah know ahead of time and the Lodge was so spotlessly clean I didn't have a single complaint from my asthma or allergies. The views from the patio area and upstairs windows were second to none.

Careful of the steps behind the gate, I slipped on them a few times!

Very detailed about how to get to the property. A very friendly and peaceful place to stay! Milk and a few snacks were put out for arrival, this was a bonus! The doggos all playing together.

A bit of lighting to help with the lock box for the key would be helpful. It can be a bit difficult to find initially if you arrive in the dark. Fortunately we'd been before so could remember.

We've stayed here before hence why we went back. Great location for what we wanted which was to be able to walk to Chatsworth House. Facilities good and great views out over the park area.

The location was perfect for us. The property was very comfortable and cosy. It was done to a very high standard. We would certainly consider returning next spring when the weather improves to explore the area further.

We stayed for 2 nights. The lodge was very clean and very well furnished. The view from the window is breathtaking and the location of the lodge is very peaceful. The host Sarah was very helpful when we arrived at the lodge. Also Maisie and Molly gave us the company every morning, very well behaved and playful dogs. Overall I would say our stay was splendid and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a nice and peaceful stay. I will definitely come back.

Moorland View Lodge provides first-class accommodation with panoramic views and a stunning location. The hosts Sarah and Peter were exceptionally helpful. Up to the minute, plenty of room, warm, you want for nothing, wonderfully private and peaceful. Would strongly recommend to everyone and we’re looking forward to returning.

As quite a short person I found that I could not reach the top shelves of the kitchen cupboards. I wonder if it would be possible to have a step stool for others of my height or even shorter. [I am 5ft 2in] I was quite nervous when reversing out of the parking spot because of the drop down which I could not see from inside the car.

I enjoyed the view from the property and the general comfort and cleanliness of the rooms. I also enjoyed meeting the friendly dogs.

A great base with everything we needed. Fantastic bedroom with lots of natural light and space to get ready for the family wedding we were attending at nearby heathy Lea. Luxurious little place with great views. Would absolutely use again if we were back in the area

The sofa bed in living the mattress wasn’t very comfy. property itself was furnished and decorated to a great standard. Did not realise there were stairs which was worrying for the dog or if you had a small child. In saying that it wouldn’t put me off from booking to stay there again. You do need a car though as a drive from shops and local amenities. Not really walking distance to shops etc but there is a good pub nearby.

The views, very secure, quiet location, had everything you needed for a relaxing stay. liked the fact the garden was gated and fenced off so felt safe letting the dog roam about outside. The double bed was very comfortable.
