Our room had wooden blinds which let in far too much light, we were woken at 6am and our room was pure daylight so we couldn't get back to sleep. The bed was small for the room size, felt it would have been more comfy as a king size for two adults and there was room for one that size, the mattress dipped in the middle so it wasn't a very comfortable sleep. There was some kind of generator outside our window which was noisy. We stay in a lot of hotels, we felt that the room here was a bit overpriced for the area.

The staff were extremely friendly on check in and when we went in/out. The breakfast staff were really lovely too, making sure we had everything we needed and the breakfast was cooked to perfection. Hotel located on one of the main roads through Hayling island so it was easy to find and ample free parking. Facilities in the room were good, we had everything we needed. Interesting building with lots of history.

Our only negative point was pointed out above.

Breakfast was very good. Plenty of choice. The waitress was extremely helpful. The room was comfy and well set out. The whole hotel was exquisitely decorated a with it being close to Christmas. Our only downside was they didn’t offer evening meals from,I believe, Monday to Thursday evenings.

Restaurant was not open. No USB ports in room, No Chair in room, just a stool, Double bed very small.Slippery bathroom floor. Bed side light only on one side.

I thought the room was a little chilly when I arrived. I couldn't see any radiators or heaters in the room. All I saw was a vertical column device that looked like some sort of heating contraption but all I could achieve with this was it blowing out cold air, so I switched it off!

The breakfast was adequate however, me being me, I would have liked two sausages in my breakfast! I suppose if I'd of asked, I could have swapped the black pudding (which I don't like), for an extra sausage.

They were not serving dinner. This was a shame, but I understand as we were visiting in November (outside the main season).

The staff were friendly. Breakfast was very good, with the chef willing to change items for us. They have a nice little bar, which was frequented by a couple of locals. Made for some interesting conversation in the evening. Good sized car park and short walk to the beach.

We had no hot water in the morning and had to boil kettles to shave and wash. We accept that it’s an old property and “these things happen” but had thought perhaps a discount might have been offered as a gesture but unfortunately not.

There was a ventilation fan outside the window of the room that was quite noisy and didn't switch off until 2am.

Clean, comfortable affordable accommodation with very friendly and helpful staff. A quiet and relaxing bar area. A good breakfast.
