Busy, dated. Seems to be taken over by army veterans private functions.

Cheap, entertainment not bad, clean very dated staff were okay too busy to be helpful really. Really can't moan for the price you wouldn't get better. Also the food was good I was very surprised.

The price was reasonable for what it had. However, some of the facilities could do with some TLC, Like the arcade areas, the cinema room was shut most of the time. I feel the food prices were a little too much, leaving us to eat away. Being in the end room left our room a little mosit and damp through the rain. We paid for toiletries but only got little soap bars, and there was no toilet brush, which was a downfall cleaning the toilet with wipe. We could have appricated clean cups daily with tea and coffee, maybe juice for the children and towels too. Tv areal was a little poor due to weather, and the Internet was extremely overpriced, which led to using our own data.

We loved the additional pool and sauna. The room overall was tidy and clean, and the staff was friendly when spoken, too. We appreciate the historical look to the building. I would definitely go back, though, as you couldn't ask for more with reasonable price to the stay.

Beds are very hard. Not enough towels supplied, empty soap dispensers. Bathroom door did not close and no safety latches on the windows (3rd floor). Beds were nice and clean however the surfaces had previously spilled tea/coffee. Bin was tiny in the room and filled after 1 day, the bin bag provided was so thin it ripped apart and was useless. Nothing was replenished during our stay (tea bags, clean cups, sugar, soap ect)

    Good value for money.

For starters the carpets were filthy . You could tell that they haven’t been the vacuumed for a while and there was an underwear under the bed which proves they didn’t clean before we checked in. The rooms were freezing . And lastly there was a couple fighting and banging doors at night next to us making a lot of noise and we tried calling the reception and no-one picked up the phone.

Very disappointed with the bedroom, room had salad bowl with mayonnaise on under the bed, filthy windows inside and out, bathroom had multiple holes in the wall, no toilet brush, had to plug kettle in beside bed as no plug where the tray was. Hotel smells of damp. One of the receptionist was very rude.

The remote to the TV didn't work, the plug to the bath wasn't attached, drawer fronts were hanging off and the foyer was damp smelling. Wifi wasn't throughout the hotel and not in our room. Many facilities were broken or out of use. Add on breakfast was very expensive but actually cheaper at reception than through booking.com. The entertainment was obviously catering for a different demographic to us (bingo). Other guests were very loud in the corridors late at night so it had a bit of a hostel vibe.

The leisure facilities ie pool were fine and the reason we chose this hotel. The hotel and room were as expected. The shower was good! Beds were OK. It's fine as a base to go and spend the day elsewhere.

The hotel is not that clean. they don’t clean the room during your stay. Apparently that’s their policy according to the staff when we ask for our room to be clean. When you need a top up of toilet rolls, coffee, tea, sugar and milk, all you need to do is go the reception.

the location was good. They have a pool in the hotel which the kids like.
