I thought the check in was a bit weird - the old, more informal desk was much better. Finally - I thought it was very expensive, but this probably a general London/IK problem.

Room was fine - plenty of room for us. The new layout downstairs was much better than before. Perfect location for arriving by Paddington express - nice walk via Hyde Park to central London. Lots of restaurants/breakfast opportunities close by

Reception supervisor, although I know that Check in is available after three in the afternoon, and that this is the norm, But I hoped to receive special treatment especially that there are rooms available and the hotel is in a state of renovation and maintenance

Lack of plug sockets by the bed and generally in the room.

No charging points near the bed, and the charging points seem to deliver a low voltage, so was a pain to charge multiple devices

Close to Paddington station. Clean hotel and quite spacious. Very comfortable, with responsive and helpful staff!

Shower floor was slippery and step from shower was a fall risk. Not disabled friendly with the design

The pool - it is tiny and needs to be booked. I had messaged in advanced asking if it needed to be booked as I saw that on another review and was told no. On arrival, I was told yes it did need to be booked and the time I wanted was already full. Honestly, it's so small I don't think you could swim lengths anyway. The breakfast - the selection was quite average and the quality was poor. There were also some basic things missing e.g. jam amd spreads for toast.

The staff were all really friendly and very helpful. The room size was very good for London and the location is convenient near Paddington and in an area with a few restaurants and shops. Overall pretty good value for the location.

I opened the curtain in the room on our first morning and was looking straight into someone’s office. I was not aware that this would be the case. Not a big deal really .

Room felt a bit basic and tired. Pillows were an odd shape and very flat. Mattress a bit lumpy and uncomfortable.

Toilet is in a very small room

Everything is clean - the room, the beds, toilet and shower area. Great selection of breakfast items

I unexpectedly got my period and so ashed at reception if they had any emergency sanitary products and told no. This is quite basic, if Yiu can get a sewing kit, shower cap etc then a sanitary pad should be available....it was just one to tide me over for the walk to shop.

Pool, good breakfast, excellent response when staff called from room for a fan, clean glasses and tea.

It’s at the end of a cul de sac, and enclosed by a highway and train tracks. Not a big disadvantage, just feels like a bit of an island.

It all seems very new. Good location, Paddington is very convenient to reach many areas of London. Room was quiet.

Fresh milk by the tea and coffee area would be nice to see rather than plastic sachets. The room was too hot and we couldn’t adjust it. Much better when we were moved.

All staff were fabulous. The pool was wonderful. Really had a luxurious, peaceful feel. Breakfast was good.. Nice atmosphere and seating areas. The beds were comfortable. Location was convenient yet not overly busy.

Very good location in a nice area close to Paddington station. Comfortable and clean room. Hotel restaurant was very good value for money. Swimming pool and sauna/hammam was a plus after long walking days. Nice staff as well.

Room felt basic. Hand-wash had run out in bathroom. No plug sockets near the bed. They also had small odd shaped pillows.

Location was great near Paddington and venue I needed. Lobby and bar were lovely and smart.
