It’s hard to explain just how amazing Nicky and Gary are as hosts! The breakfast was maybe the best I’ve ever had and next time I’ll be having dinner too! Weekend breaks are made memorable by hosts like these and the interesting people that pass through their doors I’m sure. Superb!

My personal wish would have been for a shower over the bath - but the memshab loved the bath

The house is spectacular. It is one of the most magically appointed homes we've seen in all of our travels. The art is magnificent and spans from modern to many gorgeous antiquities. The owners were wonderful in helping to guide our Cotswold experience with perfect recommendations for our journey.

Gary and Nicola were the best of hosts. We felt so welcome and they were extremely accommodating. This boutique hotel is very eclectic but comfortable and full of fascinating art - all of which has a story. And it's in the absolute heart of Tetbury.

Amazing place with stunning and eclectic interiors! Great owners who are very friendly and helpful with advice on local attractions, places to eat etc - provided a very helpful guide on local towns to visit in the Cotswolds. Breakfast was also excellent. If you like boutique hotels this is for you!!

We had a little trouble finding the house because it is not shown properly on Google maps. It is right next to the Chipping car park and the address is right over the door once you get close to it.

This property is one of the best we've ever experienced. The owners are engaged and experienced but also not intrusive. The room was exceptional. The breakfast was the best ever--you really can't go wrong.

No decaf filter coffee at the first breakfast but Nicola went out and bought some so we had that for the second breakfast.

Oak House No.1 is indeed No.1 We had the most amazing time in their luxurious suite. The owner Nic & Gary are amazing hosts. They made our stay in their place unforgettable. Everything was so perfect. Our suite was huge and so beautiful. They pay attention to any detail. The breakfast was so good and they gave us the best tips how to spend our time in the amazing Cotswolds and in the cities around. We were so lucky to stay there for 5 amazing nights. I highly recommend Oak House No.1!

Gary and Nic were perfect hosts, so friendly and helpful in advising us of notable places to visit. The hotel is gorgeous, very unique artwork and antiques. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The eclectic mix of art and general decor was beautiful, with so many fascinating stories behind some of the pieces. The hosts, Gary and Nicola, were so welcoming and did everything to make our stay an absolute delight. We had some great conversations and were made to feel very at ease. I could not fault anything and we will be visiting again.

Oak House No1 is a treasure trove of colour, art, curiosities and personality - but an equally welcoming and relaxing grown up treat. Our room was perfect and Gary and Nicola struck the perfect balance of a homely welcome with giving gets freedom to enjoy the marvelous space. Great location too!
