Hotel needs a bit of TLC. The room could have been a bit more comfortable with better comfortable seating and less furniture. The walls are thin - ie you can hear others cough, speaking - this affected my stay and so my sleep was disturbed. The breakfast could have been better. On checking into the room I found a razor blade on the floor - I thought that was pretty bad luckily not walking (especially this hotel caters for families and elderly stays).

The hotel has rooms with sea views, so enjoyed those views from our room. Enjoyed using the swimming pool but could do with a bit of TLC - just make it look more welcoming from hotel stairs to the pool. All a bit dated.

Bed wasn't made and no shampoo or shower gel.in bathroom. Breakfast was tasty, and the staff very polite, but they were obviously short staffed, causing delays

Beautiful view from balcony, good sized room and very friendly staff despite being obviously short staffed. The hotel responded to our pre-request for a high toilet seat for my mum very obligingly. So that was great.

Rooms were separated and in located in opposite corner of the building. I was supposed to receive £60 cash back from Booking.com, but did not get as the transaction could not be completed online and Booking.com did not inform about this.

Energy and attitude of reception staff at check in could be described as "meh" to borderline contemptuous when I had to ask directions to my room because she hadn't given any. A couple was constructively and kindly asking for a change of room, even prepared to forego their sea view, for a room with better quality decor/standard, yet the two staff members seemed unenthusiastic/slow to respond to them. Perhaps the staff are new or feeling a little out of their depth. Tired room, creaky floorboards in room + hallway outside, basic worn decor (which did not match photos), orientated on a corner with 2 other rooms having direct views into my room so only able to be in my room with curtains closed despite temperatures in high 20's (oC) and anyway little airflow due to being in this internal corner at rear of building. This also meant that the few occasions I had the TV on I had to have it on the lowest volume to minimise risk of disturbing guests in those rooms if my windows were open. Every time someone used a basin etc the sound of water running in pipes through the walls woke me up. Breakfast staff were doing their best to deal with overwhelm of number of guests (breakfast started quite late at 8:30am so many many people arriving around this time) so I just had to keep adapting and being grateful for what service I could receive. Not specific to this hotel: I am so so tired of the solo travel experience in the UK (on moderate budget) of being bunged in some lower grade/decor room than the double occupancy ones and paying a premium per person (compared to double occupancy per person) for what turns out to be some creaky floored ageing noisy building/room.

Vegetarian cooked breakfast, and non dairy milk provision. Proximity to sea. Spacious bathroom. Comfortable bed.

Unfortunately the hotel is still in the 70s/80s The rooms on the website look really nice but the 1st room we were offered was old and tatty the 2nd room was not much better with rotten timber on the balcony door, frame and window frame, beds most probably from the same era Not nice

The family room wasn't what was shown on pictures when booking. It certainly was not worth the money we paid, seen as we stayed here last year and was great for half the price we paid this year. Decorating commencing in the room next door, the room was cleaned once in the six days we stayed. The pool was shut for a couple of days. The bar was shut on 1st night but was opened when the coaches arrived the next day. No sockets next to bed like it stated had to go get an extension lead. Last year, they had a games room for kids, but this year, it had been moved to the library and was crammed in. Room tea and coffee weren't replenished during our stay. Our breakfast was pushed back to a later time to accommodate the coaches. 3 coaches took up car parking services. The room didn't smell nice. The windows were rotten, and the bad weather we had was howling through the window, but other rooms had double glazing. I was totally disappointed and did not enjoy our stay this year compared to last year. Feel like we were ripped off for the money we paid.

    Breakfast was good.
