Top floor bedroom very hot. The supply of a fan would have been much appreciated. Catches on the windows very poor. The place did not have a real identity between hotel or bar. It felt more like a bar most of the time .

The food both breakfast and evening meal excellent

Rooms extremely basic. Not decorated for years. Hotel not adapted for disabled people. Hotel manager was elusive. Smoking by staff and guests was allowed in garden extremely close to rooms and filled bedrooms with horrid smell of smoke throughout day and more so at night. Shower was hit and miss with water. Nowhere to put shampoo/shower gel. Cubicle too small to bend over in so couldn't even put them on floor. Towels/bedding/shower mat not changed at all in whole of stay. We just thought generally unaccommodating in hotel and sometimes in the separately run Bar we were unable to use facilities of the bar one of the days due to private function with little notice given.

Lovely garden area. Good location to harbour and village.

We were up in the eves and the room was really hot.

Easy to get to, quiet but not cut off, lovely breakfast and great food in the restaurant. Bar prices were good as well so happy to spend an evening at the hotel in the lovely courtyard garden. Paul made us feel welcome and would definately stay here again. :) Thank you from Denise and Kerry

Perfect for what we wanted to do - explore the Island and some where to just sleep and have breakfast. This place was perfect and very reasonable compared to others but then we didnt want swimming pool, spa etc.

Hotel owner/?manager totally lacking in customer service skills - answered a simple query with a tirade of accusations and insults, because he had not listened to someone trying to 'phone to leave an urgent message for a guest. Restaurant manager responded to a visitor's complaint very defensibly,no attempt to apologise,& later frosty with guests associated with that visitor. Both responded negatively to an attempt to provide positive feedback. We shall NOT be staying there again, or recommending this hotel!

'Quirky' old building & tea garden. Good parking. Junior bar & restaurant staff very pleasant & helpful.

Our bathroom was a little dated and not very well lit, but all spotlessly clean and in good working order, so not a problem.

Even though we only stayed one night, the staff were so friendly and helpful. We decided to stay there for dinner, as it was convenient, and actually had the best meal of our trip (the included breakfast was also spot on, and we hung around the next day for cream tea in the pretty garden... they must have thought they were never going to get rid of us!) Easy to find location in a charming village with local shops, a short walk to the beach and bus stop, and 10-15 minutes' pleasant walk to the harbour.

Could have been more options at breakfast like fruit, water and condiments readily available. Food was excellent quality still.

Lovely staff and very clean hotel.

    No complaints at all

All the staff were very helpful and friendly, the food was excellent (if anything we got to much food) and the bar had a really good atmosphere.

Wifi doesn't quite stretch to the rooms. The room next door had the TV very loud and kept us up for a while both nights, as did a party in the bar downstairs on one night - finished before 11 though so not too bad. Would have quite liked a bath in the room, not just a shower.

Breakfast was absolutely amazing, cereal and toast as well as full Scottish or English and lots of other options we didn't have a chance to try. Room was nicely decorated, had everything we needed and comfy beds and pillows etc

Proper bathroom would have made it even better.

Breakfast excellent (all fresh food), but could have been a little more for people not having full English.e.g. A whole tomato or a whole mushroom,

The hotel is sad tired and dated. The bar shut at 9pm, there was no lighting in the garden at night so it couldn't be used. The breakfast was the same very day, no variety, no fruit, no yoghurt.

The location was superb The Tea garden and the lady who ran it

Found the bathroom a bit lacking. The shower was very small and hot water was a bit hit & miss. The washbasin was in the room not in the bathroom with the toilet.

Gordy Village & Gorey Pier are an ideal location for exploring the island. On a bus route running every 15 mins to St Helier.

Breakfast! It seems that fruit is an unknown quantity and the cooked food merely a variation of the full English Breakfast. Bearing in mind the many French and German guests a continental breakfast would be an interesting alternative. But please some fruit, bananas, apples, oranges, etc. not just the juice.

The rooms and facilities are very clean and well attended
