Through no fault of the staff, it was quite noisy until late due to the annual fair in the village

Breakfast was lovely. Location was perfect for C2C cycle. Evening food in the bar was also very nice. Rooms met our expectations

Recently decorated room, lovely comfy bed, good sized bathroom. Tea and coffee in the room. Quiet location. Food in the pub good with plenty of choice on the menu. Owners very friendly.

Nothing to dislike at all.

The landlord gave me a warm welcome and allowed me early access to the rooms. They are recently renovated so they were well presented. The evening meal was good as was the breakfast. The service was great. They also had safe storage for the bikes.

We were disappointed with the breakfast we’d paid extra for. We were only offered cereal and toast. Don’t know what happened there!

This is a lovely old pub in a quiet village. We had a comfortable room at the back with an entrance up the old outside stairs with a very pleasant view. The landlord, Tyrone, was very pleasant. We arrived late but his wife made us a lovely fish pie. It’s popular with walkers. The hills around the village are stunning.

The Old Coach House at The Golden Lion provided what I needed, a comfortable place in a convenient location with an evening meal at the place of stay.

Very warm welcome. We were on our way to a further destination so stayed here to break our journey. We were warmly welcomed. The accommodation was simple but suited our needs. We ate in the Golden Lion and had a very enjoyable meal and drink. The beds were comfortable and it is very quiet. We did not request breakfast so cannot comment on that. Plenty of room for parking. Good value.

Busy pub in the heart of the village, they do food and have a secure place for bike storage if arriving by bike.

1. the toilet seat was already off in the flat before I used it 2.before I checked in before I phoned up I did find the lady quite rude and abrupt when I only wanted to ask a few questions about the place and availability as I had problems booking it on the app. until later I managed to get just booked through the app later. also did get a unpleasant greeting when I checked in. overall I didn’t have any complaints about the stay as it was a nice apartment/flat

The pub is a traditional pub serving good pub grub at good prices. The room is ultra modern. Very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff overall were friendly helpful and welcoming.

The walls were thin between rooms and we were woken in the night by late returners to the adjoining room. The fan did not work in the bathroom.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They worked hard to accommodate our requests despite being very busy.
