Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

the room i was put in was next to the lift and fire door which was quite noisy throughout the evening. Also there was noisy pipework which went on all night.
The staff were very helpful and friendly and my stay was very much value for money.

Why no 'loo' brush in bathroom?
We felt comfortable in our room. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. The choice at Breakfast was good. We also enjoyed the dinner menu. Overall we loved our stay and look forward to returning when we next visit Nottingham. A bonus were the sustainable environment features.

Felt the bar / restaurant menu was a bit limited and could do with more basic dishes. Also pricey. We found a great Indian restaurant a few minutes drive away with easy and free parking
Decent sized room with a large comfy bed and a lovely shower. Attentive staff who supplied more tea, milk etc when needed. Great breakfast as well. I should say that we stayed here as our son was playing in a sporting event at the University and not because we wanted to see the city.

Bed was too firm for us giving a poor sleep, To remote did not work Phoned reception several times and got no answer Shower head had poor adjustment making it awkward to use. Shower had wrong fitting on end that did not allow. For correct use A better guide to television operation would bevuseful

I was really disappointed that the bed lined smelt of body odour/sweat.
On the whole a pleasant and modern hotel. Conveniently located to where I needed to be. Lovely surroundings.

Nothing to improve on really!

Gym was separate from the hotel, its UK so you need waterproofs to get there 😂😂

This is the hotel I have been using quite often now when staying in Nottingham for a night or two. It is very quiet, located in a nice area close to the univeristy and has a good breakfast and plenty of parking. Fairly priced as well. Totally recommended.

My room was right opposite the lift so it was a little noisy late at night with other guests returning and saying their goodbyes etc right outside the lift.
Breakfast was good with plenty of choice especial for the hot food. Slightly limited on the cold selection.

It was quite noisy in room. We could hear noise and voices from each side. Also, the bedroom doors are on an automatic latch that banged VERY loudly each time someone opened or closed them in the corridor used it. Also, a member of staff joked with us about enjoying the free coffee in the entrance hall. We tried it once and another member of staff said it was for conference people only and we were mortified. If it isn't for everyone's use, surely it should be clearly labelled as such.
Great location. Room a very good size. Breakfast very good. Ate there 2 nights and food was delicious.

On entering the hotel (approx. 5pm) there was an overpowering smell of fish in the lobby from the restaurant. It was off putting. Thankfully hadn't traveled to the rooms! The restaurant/bar menu was very limited - lots of fish options. No children's or smaller plates options and it's difficult to find a menu online in advance... Which meant we ended up having to travel to eat away from the hotel which we hadn't wanted to do.
Spacious rooms, very comfy beds, reception staff were friendly and helpful. Good powerful shower. Breakfast selection was good and replenished regularly.
