We did not get Superior Room with a toilet . Wrong description given as toilet was outside of the room and everybody could get access. No was to complaint or speak about it as no reply from other side. Tiny "toilet" which you need to bend your head when walking in.

Design of the room itself was very nice. Short walk to nar and pubs , but not to the main centre.

Contacted the guesthouse to inform them that the entire building smelt uncomfortably of marijuana and received no reply. Walls very thin with extremely noisy neighbours (we were room 3 they were room 4).

Very small shower cubicle and the shower head kept falling off the handle or the handle kept slipping down. No toilet roll or sugar in the bedroom. Slightly over priced for a hostel with no staff onsite.

The building is old despite the rooms being modern. This means that there are strange sounds from upstairs as the rooms we were staying in were on the ground floor. It's also quite noisy as other guests enter and exit the building as our room was right at the front door.

The location was ideal. A quick walk from the train station and also into town. It is right at the base of the walk up to the viewing point on the hill which is great to do. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated.

Unfortunately the bathroom completely let it down. It was like walking into a different place/decade. For the bedroom to be SO beautifully renovated and decorated it really wasn’t nice to then go into an old, tired, gloomy, dark, small bathroom. The shower was small and no pressure to the water. The taps were loose on the sink. The walls were also VERY thin so had the pleasure of being involved in an argument with the couple next door at 2AM. Gaz if you’re reading this, not cool to text another woman those things 😬. Think a sign on the door or even on the welcome email to say to be respectful of other guests wouldn't go a miss.

The room was fantastic. Well decorated brand new feel to it. Super easy check in. Parking was on the road but always got a spot. The location is great with lots of little bars and cafes around and great to get to other areas of the Lake District.

Having to move to a different guest house 20 minute drive away, from Windermere to Kendal, due to the keypad out of charge so was unable to get in the room. Very overpriced, we wouldn’t pay the price payed on the website, and were lucky to have been put in the more expensive house, but certainly wouldn’t pay the price advertised.

Liked the decor and cosy feel, only a 10 minute walk into town.

The calibre of the bathroom was out of step with the rest of the room which is what lets this property down. In addition, given there are no eating facilities elsewhere in the property, a small crowded table with one chair didn't give us many options of where to eat a takeaway as we couldn't get a restaurant booking one night.

Very comfortable bed in the room. The room was beautifully decorated and well heated. There were tea and coffee making facilities and a small TV.
