Avery nice hotel with attention to detail Bedroom was spacious and plenty of drawers and cupboards lovely big bathroom with separate shower Food was excellent and beautifully presented lovely atmosphere and the bar was very cosy with views across the countryside

It was a but quiet for us. Everybody had gone to back to their rooms by 9,30 leaving us alone in the bar. No the hotels fault obviously. I thought it would be an amazing place to have a murder mystery weekend with your friends

Lovely old world charm. The pictures don't do the rooms justice. The food and the service were both excellent.

Just the mattress on the bed was not the greatest. A new pocket spring would have made for a better night's sleep.

The welcoming and friendly staff, their attention to detail and our every comfort was impeccable, and they were really nice people, too. The furnishings and decor were first class. It was a quiet and peaceful location and extensive walks were there, right from the door.

I cannot fault anything about the Hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Overwater Hall Hotel, the ambience, the professionalism of all the staff to a very high standard. Breakfast was served, and very nice with a lot of choice from the Breakfast Menu. The Evening meal was outstanding, from the A La Carte Menu, beautifully served, I haven’t had food cooked and presented to that standard for many a year, excellent. The Lake District does not have a great reception for Wi-Fi and mobile phones, the Hotel has wi-fi but be aware you don’t always get a signal, that’s good if you want to relax from todays technology. We took our dog, and they were very accommodating, he loved the walks in the grounds.

Beautiful setting with a range of hikes nearby. Exceptional service, staff were very friendly and welcoming despite us arriving in still slightly damp outdoors gear! Dinner is highly recommended.

Everything if you want peace and quiet, like walking this is place to be. It renewed my well-being just by the tranquillity of the place. If this is what you want or need, this is the place. Kat Steve Angela and all the staff made you feel more than welcome. We will be back and would highly recommend without doubt.

We only had an overnight unfortunately. Its a secluded spot, but the grounds are beautiful with lovely short walks. we loved the building, the decor and the staff. Wonderful people, lively conversation and great knowledge of the area.

We happened to be there during a hot spell and the bedrooms were very warm. May need to consider portable air con units. There was a fan in the wardrobe which I didn’t discover until the last day

A beautiful property in lovely grounds, welcoming and attentive staff. The food was the highlight. An exceptional dinner and extensive wine list. Good selection of tea and a cafitiere in the room along with home made shortbread and fruit.
