Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomEverything could have been better! The car park was awful. The majority of which blocked by a coach, other parts of it had skips in. Just messy! In reception on receiving my key, the document I signed was barely readable- the printer has probably stated "black ink low" all year! The whole building was neglected and didnt smell great. Stale smoke perhaps? So much space and no investment for a decade or two. My room 19 - the door and lock had been damaged. 5 or 6 screws held the lock in place. By the damage on the door it looked like a crow bar had been previously used to gain entry. A window was boarded up too! The bathroom floor hadn't been cleaned for weeks. I cleaned it with a towel see picture. As I explained to reception it was as if new towels had been placed on the bed and Febreeze was sprayed in the room...and that is a cleaned room! I was offered room 23 as an alternative. It smelled bad and the bathroom floor had a sticky mess. I then suggested before they offer me another alternative, that they look at the room and decide if they would stay there?... It was at this point that the reduction in room rate was offered and accepted. After all I had cleaned some of it! Strangely enroute to room 23 I noticed 3 rooms were not even closed. The explanation of why made no sense to me and just summed up the incompetence of the people managing the hotel. Perhaps the rats haven't learnt how to use keys yet? Sadly I only have 1 photo, but do have a 2 minute video. A walk from reception to my room. Horrific! Could be the set for a new HOSTEL movie perhaps?
The proximity to the M6, and also a pub/restaurant 1 minutes walk away. The TV worked. The shower had hot water if you ran it for 5 mins! I was given a 50% refund as they agreed the hotel was not good enough. I made it out alive!

United Kingdomfirst room,,,,,tv didnt work, no tea facilities at all, floor dirty, shower door off its hinges, i had to squeeze through a tiny gap and open it from inside, then wouldnt close properly. shower itself held on with black tape, unknown electrical box hanging from ceiling with bare wires, damp patches on ceiling, door had been forced open damaging frame. so unsafe. radiator was falling apart, given another room the next day, again door had been jemmied. when i looked at others, most doors in that area had been forced, couldnt sleep well as door frame badly damaged, i felt intruder could get in with ease. dance music coming through walls, when i had to get out of bed to report it, turned out the music was belonging to the staff, awful experience.
very little. room was beyond bad, but they changed it the next day. which was slightly better.

The service was kind and helped us with cabs and locations to visit.

United KingdomOn arrival it looks like the place is closed down and in need of repair. I supposedly had an executive room which came with a huge damp patch on the ceiling from a leak upstairs, when I questioned this I was told not to worry as the leak had been fixed. The room smelled of damp and the damp patch had its own array of fungus growing on it. Due to the school holidays and a nearby festival there were no alternatives so I had to grin and bare it. 1 bottle of mould spray and some Fabreeze it was just about manageable. The photos on booking.com do not reflect the current state of the property. There is no cask conditioned ale or home cooked food as advertised. I witnessed a number of people checking in then quickly leaving on inspection of their rooms. Very disappointing as I have stayed in other OYO hotels and they were great. Sadly this one is not.
The bedding was clean and the TV was good.

United KingdomThis place is really cringe and rundown, it's a health hazard. I'm surprised it's running legally. Mould everywhere, poor ventilation, no heaters in our room. It got really cold and damp (during summer!), so our duvet was basically damp because it was next to a (closed) window. I think (hope) that everything was clean, however some towels were stained so we didn't use them. Our double bed was in fact a small double. The shower took 5 mins to heat up. The floors and doors were extremely noisy. But hey, at least they got a phenomenal photographer to take the pics of the rooms! This 'hotel' is definitely nothing like the pictures!
- helpful staff - coffee & tea in the room - room 'seemed' clean in general - soap, shampoo and lotion were provided - bed was alright, had a good night's sleep

United KingdomThe door to our room was smashed and something had been spilled all over the walls. Sink was practically on top of the toilet. Went to creamfields so served it’s purpose as a bed for the night but very overpriced for the quality of room. Didn’t even have a window. Staff were very nice just a shame the room was a dump.

United KingdomSo the room smelled like fried food. When walked into the corridor if the room there were guests smoking and having load music. Around 3.30 in the morning woke up with - what I think was a staff member speaking with one of the guests on the corridor. The room walls are so think you can hear everything from next door. The room was not only basic as the bed was uncomfortable the carpets dirty. I confess that I was so disappointed that I nearly walked out that night. I never really right a bad review bad I thought I would need to let future guests know what they are booking.
The staff was polite

While in bed at 00.30 manager knocked on my door and tried to move me to another room as someone wanted this one as it had more beds. When I informed him I had been in it all day and it wouldn't be covid clean he agreed.

United Kingdomtv remote could use sorting out, Wi-Fi was hard to pick up in my room, so maybe they need signal boosters, but other than that, all good. Where the hotel may have lacked, the staff made up for it with positive attitudes.
nice roomy single room, friendly staff, exceptionally cheap prices, well made bed, with all the little bits, soap, shower cream, towels, toilet rolls. Tv, coffee and tea. Had a bar and served food weekdays. With a few tweaks, this could be a real gem of a place. I think some people reviewing were expecting too much for their money, I could go on about the negative aspects of my room or the hotel, but fact is, there are more positives than negatives, and if you want 5 star, I heard the Ritz is excellent, but if you want value for money, this is a great place. I would be happy to stay again.
