The room was very basic for the price we paid. The shower was terrible and breakfast wasn't very good. The room was so hot even with the tiny fan provided.

Staff were friendly, the bed was comfy and it was clean.

Bar closed early. Offered to open but was dark and obviously shut with no people or ambience which was disappointing . Also car park full of workmen's vans in evening so no parking for guests available

    Pool, food, comfy beds

The bedroom was quite cold and the radiator made loud noises. There was an electric heater so it wasn’t too bad at night.

Great location, lovely pool and gym facilities. The breakfast was good too.

The dinner menu at the brasserie is very conventional, did not live up to expectations.

The Palace is a handsome renovation of an older hotel, with all guest room comforts and spacious public areas. The location is perfect: central and right on the scenic over area.

Room was super hot on arrival - at least 30 deg, heating stuck on! Staff reallocated me to another. Traveled with a dog but was therefore stuck sitting in the lobby for all meals as they are not dog friendly in the other public areas. Not the most ideal place to eat as low seating.

Staff helpful. Room comfy and large. Food ok. Very picturesque location on the river.

I don't think I had any issues at all. I didn't eat in the restaurant or bistro, or have breakfast in the hotel either day, so I can't comment on those bits but I felt everything else was very good.

The location is ideal. An easy to walk to the city centre and set on the river directly across from the castle. You're not far at all from the nature reserve on the islands and there's a great selection of restaurants within a few minutes. You can get a bus to Urquhart Castle two minutes from the hotel. In terms of the hotel itself, the staff were superb and I was able to leave a bag early in the morning having traveled up on the sleeper train. My room was nice, the hotel has a very pleasant bar/bistro to sit in. (There's also a restaurant but I did not visit so cannot comment on that). The gym and spa is pleasant with a good gym, a decent swimming pool, a Jacuzzi and sauna and steam rooms.

Our room during the night was noisy. We assume it was from the plumping of the nearby rooms. I did not like that the room service when they brought our breakfast they did not knock the door and got in the room while we were still in bed.

I liked the location and the view. The food and the indoor Pool was great. the room was comfortable and the room service was quick. Reception staff was helpful.

Cooked breakfast could have been warmer. Ordered poached egg and waited 15 mins for it. Asked staff again and they got it immediately. Clearly it had been sitting in the kitchen ready for staff to bring out.

Lovely sitting area near the reception, and at the bar. Staff attentive. Lovely and clean hotel.

Only downside was the morons in the room above. They came back at 3.30 am, had some others in their room and were noisy for about 2 hours. Unfortunately not something the Hotel can control easily. We would consider coming back again though.

Lovely hotel, great room and the pool and gym were good too. Good selection at the breakfast buffet. The location in the centre of Inverness and right by the river is fantastic. Really good weather helped too.

My single room was very hot and I couldn’t turn down the radiator, so had to sleep with the window open which was a bit noisy with seagulls and, ironically, the central heating pump. There was a huge television, but no control handset to work it.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The leisure facilities were good and my step-daughter said her massage was one of the best she’d had. Breakfast was delicious and my bed was really comfortable.

My wife has mobility issues and the limited number of disabled spaces were occupied by vehicles without a blue badge, monitoring of these spaces is inadequate. Parking is extremely limited on location, however public parking is nearby. For us we found bed & pillows to be too firm.

God hotel in great location by river, our booking was room only so did not have breakfast, evening meal was good with good service from staff. rooms was a good size & well appointed, bathroom a little small but adequate
