Breakfast; if you like healthy food, this breakfast is not for you, there was no fruit on the first day apart from grapefruit that was old (tasted like alcohol, clearly just poured out of a tin), I would not book breakfast here again, really low quality - cholesterol heaven - food.

Noise from the corridors and locking room doors was quite loud as sound travelled.

Could not work out the temperature gauge on my bedroom shower, re-marking the hot and cold sides would be good

Friendly accommodating staff and an excellent pool. For a Scarborough trip on a quiet winter weekday this hotel is probably one of the better places to visit for such a trip

We could hear noise from the room above ours, even in the middle of the night.

The room was beautifully decorated. Very nice bathroom. The breakfast was very good with lots of choices. All the public areas were very clean, good lounge bar area with lots of seating. The pool and jacuzzi were really nice.

The soundproofing between the rooms is worse than average. Putting a plug into a socket and simply turning on a switch echoed like a small hammer blow. As a result average tv volume could be heard as if it was your own tv.

It’s very clean, has decent facilities, and is one of the few to offer food through the day, and evening meals. It’s location is very good.

Rooms were slightly dated could do with modernisation, but we're still functional. It's nice to have separate toilet and bathroom.

One of the best things about this hotel is that the staff look like they enjoy working there. They are very efficient, attentive and above all they SMILE. A very well managed establishment, exceptionally clean and good food.

There is nothing about this hotel I can fault. Scarborough is a hilly place and if you are less mobile this maybe a problem in general.

The hotel is in a great location, 5 minutes from North Bay attractions and across the road from Peasholm Park. The beach is a five minute walk away. Rooms are spotless with plenty of storage, staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfasts are great. There is a lift in the hotel if you need one. The hotel has a swimming pool, hot tub and sauna that is open late, it also has a games room with pool tables, table football and table tennis tables so there is lots to do if the weather is bad. It is easy to get to South Bay by the tourist buses that run along the front every 15 minutes, get an all day return ticket, great for families, you can come and go as you please all day and it only takes approx 5 minutes on the bus between the bays. We have stayed here 3 times now and will be booking again soon.

The location is excellent a 5 minute walk from the beach and directly opposite the park. We didn’t eat here but the restaurant looked great and it smelt gorgeous. We went later in the evening so we had the spa to ourselves!

The cooked breakfast! Bacon like it had been done in the microwave! The black pudding didn't taste like black pudding at all. No idea what it had been cooked with!?! Cheap beans. Tinned warmed up mushrooms and not a very nice snotty fried egg. I like a fried egg runny but not well under done! Toast was bang on though lol! To say you pay extra for breakfast aswel! Not worth the money! Go find a cafe for your breakfast. Or get a burger on the front lol!

The facilities are fantastic. Swimming, sauna and a bar.

The bed was very small and not very comfy, I was woken every time my partner moved. A couple Of USB ports would have been really helpful. The hotel decor is slightly dated but this did not affect our stay.

Easy check in, breakfast was quick and filling, lots of choice. Room was basic but wasn’t lacking in anything. The bedding was lovely, soft and clean. Thank you for a good stay, would definitely recommend to anyone going to the open air theatre.

Breakfast was nice although very small portions for £12.50 one sausage, one rash of bacon, half a tomato, a small hash brown and one egg. Was quite disappointed with the size of the breakfast. Wasn't sure if the milk was off as it had lumps in it?

Staff very welcoming, could use the pool and sauna. Great location as you can see the sea from the front.
