We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

CanadaThe room was on the small side. The shower was quite high to step into and out of. The menu in the restaurant was very limited.
Staff was pleasant. Breakfast was good and the service was fast. Free parking is nice. The bar had sports on TV, which was nice for me. The hot water was quick and the flow was good. Cookies with the tea and coffee in the room was nice.

United KingdomThe toiletries in the bathroom looked like they were not new they had what looked like red lipstick and mascara on them so we did not use them then on the morning we were awoken twice around 6.30am by a very loud alarm! Maybe a fire alarm test but not really the correct time for this to be going off when people pay for a relaxing break away and no expiation from staff regarding this when checking out

We arrived at the hotel about 11:30 at night due to a bit of a disaster at home, with no phone in the room to contact the night Porter about a problem, no hair dryer. Once we did get hold of the night Porter, he did fix our problem straight away. We were in a suite, which needs updating.
Breakfast was good. there was plenty of choice. We did have a problem with our room, but the night Porter did fix it straight away. Plenty parking.

United KingdomThe building was obviously in need of some repairs and refurbishment. I had to walk over a bucket on the floor catching drips in order to get to my room. The dinner I had in the restaurant was not great, I wouldn't eat there again, however the cocktails were lovely!
The spa and pool facilities were a lovely bonus and the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms were standard.

United KingdomThe room was a mix of very old and modern furniture. The room wasn’t as warm as we would have liked as one of the radiators wasn’t working. The jacuzzi wasn’t hot but all the rest of the spa facilities were fab.
Spa facilities are nice at the hotel for a chilled night away. The fact that the property is close to Yarm.

United KingdomThe confirmation email said there would be a hairdryer in the room so I didn’t take one. There wasn’t one, and nor was there a phone to call down for one so I had to go to reception with wet hair to ask for one there. My husband’s room did have a phone but there was no information about how to use it, if you could order room service using it etc (turns out it’s ‘0’ for reception). I wouldn’t have minded those things but what really put a bit of a dampener on our stay was the unpleasant night porter who checked us out on the morning we left, at about 7am.
We enjoyed staying somewhere with a bit more personality than the hotels we usually stay in. We are a family of four and had two rooms next to each other - both were good. The breakfast on the Friday was nice (better than on the Thursday). There was plenty of parking and our children loved the pool. The staff were mostly really lovely, especially the poor cleaning lady who was very nice about our son being sick on the bed!
