Bar inside was worn out, and drinks were not cold, luke warm beer/cider 😬

Just outside the city centre so fairly quite, easy walking distance to shops and restaurants, parking available outside.

It met the need for a pit stop on my travels but I believe if the time and effort was made it would be more pleasant

The bed was uncomfortable, and the toilet kept overflowing.

The bathroom, as I said, is a little bit tired and the grout looked dirty but on inspecting it, it was just discoloured. It would have been good if they could have replaced the tea/coffee/milk, etc every day without issue and also provided clean cups and there been more than one teaspoon. As also said, would be good if they could have an additional person to support the kitchen for breakfast.

When we stayed, the room was perfectly adequate for what we needed. It had tea and coffee making facilities, although you needed to ask at reception for top ups, rather than them automatically being replaced each day with clean cups. Beds were clean and reasonably comfortable and you could tell that money has been spent on the place recently as they had just had new carpet fitted. The bathroom was tired and looked as though it could do with a revamp but the toiletries were lovely. The owners have had the property for a year and I did ask to see a different room, which they were happy to do for me, and have booked to come back here. The breakfast was good, although it's hard for one person to take the orders, make the tea, cook the breakfast and then serve it. They could do with someone else present for breakfast to help out with seating and orders, etc. It's a lovely building, they are trying to improve on what they have already got and we were happy to book to go back due to location. If you're looking for good value for money, good location with parking and free wifi, then I would say it's absolutely spot on.

A big marque on carpark selling work clothes that appeared top be operated by some dodge lookimg staff. The marque was owned and operated by the hotels new owners.

Small tv that was very very old fashioned and hard to use. Also - VERY small the window whistled ALL NIGHT because they are single glazed and there was banging on the window every 10 mins from something but we couldn’t figure out what it was Room was freezing cold and the heating only goes on from 3pm until about 9pm so when you wake up in the morning it’s freezing cold. To attempt to solve this problem we were given a small heater which did nothing. Spare pillow was covered in muck and dust so we couldn’t use it. Cracks on the wall and in the ceiling which kept wafting dust into the room

I have a spacious room with lots of plug sockets and wardrobe space. The host was nice and asked us frequently how our stay was so far which was also nice. Good access to local transport to get to Carlisle city centre. Book about the area provided.

When we arrived the room offered to us wasn’t cleaned so was given an alternative room which also wasn’t cleaned but staff very apologetic and upgraded us to a family room and gave us complimentary breakfast

There was no way to open the window in my double room. So I wonder how this affects people during the Summer. I for one wouldn't be able to hack that. As I went to stay in mid December. It wasn't crucial. But I would still.like to have been able to sleep with the window open as I do at home.

Breakfast :-Very attractively presented. I had the Vegan option for the first time and it was very well cooked. Choice of fruit juice and 2slices of toast served to your table along with coffee.

Another guests stuff was left in the wardrobe, however tie was removed after we told staff.

Showers struggled to get get constant stream of hot water, no one there most of the time

They contacted us to arrange late check in key location. No time limits for arrival Rooms clean and well provided for, showers good when they worked hot!

Despite emailing and asking on the phone I didn’t receive a receipt for my stay for my expenses so this will come out of my pocket
