This is my 4th stay at The Plough...always my go to when in the area. The staff are really brilliant ,the cooking is consistently good and the rooms are well comfortable .

No ‘pub’ character left, nowhere to sit and have a drink inside other than the dining room tables. Meals for us were a bit hit or miss, one main meal was really nice but the other was poor, although they did apologise and didn’t charge us for that one. To be fair we think it was a one off as everyone else seemed happy with their meals.

Clean and modern fittings. Excellent shower and comfortable bed. Staff really friendly and helpful

I have stayed here four times now, in fact we had our wedding party here back in 2008. We have always been very pleased with the service, quality of the food, and the attention to detail in the rooms. Exceptional business.

I have stayed at the hotel several times without any issues. It's hard to think of anything that I didn't like about my stays at the hotel, they came highly recommended by the client I am currently working with.

The staff are friendly and helpful, overall I can't find fault with the hotel. The hotel's food is excellent, with a good selection of meals for breakfast and dinner. The staff is friendly and helpful, and overall, the hotel is faultless.

One very minor gripe! The bathroom door was sticking quite badly making it impossible to open and close quietly. However this detracts in no way from a pleasurable and comfy stay.

Everything about this business and our stay was first class. The breakfast and restaurant offerings were probably as good as it gets, all the staff were brilliant keep up the good work.

Nothing , it was a lovely stay and very convenient location for the Welsh Botanical Gardens,

If your room is on ground level you may be able to park right outside the rear patio door, which is great for unloading your bags ( my wife packs for ten days even if your only going for two) Beautiful room and a very good size , great shower with good heat and power , lovely dining room with excellent menu offering wide choices for evening meals. Lovely breakfast with choice including porridge and haddock options. Very well cooked, and a Welsh breakfast option, including Welsh tea

If I have something to criticise it is that you have sent me at least 5 e-mails following my booking and prior to my stay and at least 3 e-mails following my stay to ask what I thought of the hotel. Fat too many.

There was nothing not to like about the hotel, restaurant or the staff, absolutely superb.

The room was excellent, very clean and well presented. We dined in the restaurant in the evening and we both cannot praise the menu, quality of the food and the quality of service enough. 5 Stars in our opinion.

Nothing! The staff did an amazing job!

Such a professional dog friendly place. Honestly cannot get over the fact we could enjoy such a high grade room with our pup! We were made to feel so at ease and welcome and it's the first luxury hotel we've ever stayed with our 4 legged fur ball. So grateful! The Staff especially Suzie are incredible at what they do! The ease of access to the room from the car park was brilliant! Just can't rate this hotel enough! Such an enjoyable trip for us and I feel lucky we found it.

Bathroom steams up easily and takes a long time for the mirror to clear….heated pads would be useful. Lots of Condensation on bedroom windows in the morning. No refrigerator in room.

Friendly and helpful staff, large room with big bed. Good breakfast, excellent choices and nice to see it cooked to order. nice restaurant with good choice of menu. Free parking and Wi-Fi. Nice big shower. Nice warm room.
