Room was dated and shower was a bit dirty. The hotel needs to be updated. Carpet and walls are a bit grubby in hallway and lift areas.

The hotel is in need of TLC. Decoration is shabby and needs updating. Room housekeeping was very poor.

Breakfast wasn’t great - we paid for breakfast for 3 mornings but had breakfast elsewhere for the 2nd and 3rd morning as really wasn’t impressed.

We had a meal in the restaurant, which was okay the soup and dessert were excellent but the main course which was vegetarian curry I wasn't too keen on. The breakfast next morning was cold and not much variety. Also the staff were already removing stuff before 10, which was a bit disappointing for people who arrived for breakfast later. Also the toasting machine kept on burning the toast.

We absolutely loved the location, it was probably the best location as regards to walking distance to the city centre. It was away from traffic. Beautiful surroundings.

Only thing is the lighting in the bathroom. It is very dark and can’t use the mirror for getting ready.

No fridge in the room and the bar area lacks atmosphere and comfort, because it is part of a very large open area including the reception area so it is somewhat draughty and difficult to heat.

Poor room layout. Couldn't get into bed on one side. Had to top and tail as one side of bed sloped.. Lamp on bedstead very hot, burned my hair. Key card didn't work Saturday night.. Room slightly tatty in places

Despite the service being great, we were a little disappointed with the standard of the food, when we had our evening meal at the hotel restaurant.

Some parts of the room were a bit unkept. For example the toilet had black staining visible within the basin. Also there was no toilet brush. Only minor things that did not affect my experience overall.

Not the hotel’s fault, currently under renovation, one side is just a muddy field. Room was lacking a mirror in the main living space. Had to change rooms due to a broken plug in the bathroom sink. But the staff were very quick to change rooms, so it was fine.

When I lifted the plug out of the bathroom sink in toom 415, it was full of hair. It explained why the water was taking a considerable period of time to go down, other than that the facilities were of good quality. I do think it's important to make sure that every aspect has been thoroughly cleaned, including sink plugs. In room 419, the plug in the bath wasn't fully containing the water, so my brother had to put a glass over it to keep the water in. Other than that, all other facilities were well maintained.

The location was ideal for our intended trip, only a 20 min walk from the SSE Arena, and 5 mins from Wetherspoons and not far from the main city for shopping.

Hotel generally could use a freshening up as it's starting to look dated - in particular the lifts! Bed configuration was wrong in two of our three rooms - but this was remedied without fuss when we went out for the evening.

Rooms were spacious and beds very comfortable. Staff pleasant. Parking very convenient for town.

Room had lots of floor space and a sofa would have been nice seeing how much space there was. And there was a cabinet for a mini fridge however it was boarded up. So a mini fridge would have been very nice.

We liked the location. It is a very easy straightforward 10min walk to downtown. Hotel was nice and spacious.
