Love the location at the top of Richmond Hill near an entrance to the park. There’s a small sunny outdoor terrace, which was a great spot for an afternoon drink. Breakfast was fantastic. Liked that I could open a window in the bedroom to keep it cool, too.

We were upgraded on arrival which was nice but turned out we were on top of the bar which played loud music until 1am. We went down to reception as website said bar should shut at 10pm, but apparently it doesn’t! We were offered a change of room but the time and inconvenience of it we would not have gained anything. So will make sure where our room is located if/when we visit again. Morning manager was very apologetic .

i asked about parking. and was only told there was extra charge after l had handed over my card details for any charges. given i could of parked on the street for the remaining 2 hrs of local parking then eve and overnight would of been free as would of been the sunday l paid £12 more than necessary could not log on to wifi was a error message we tried over 4 devices l found the in room shower and toilet tacky and gross the barley obscured screens are not what i would hope for any form of privacy either visually or acoustically in small space in 25 years plus of marriage l really don’t need to see or hear my husband on the toilet ! l could hear occupants of adjacent rooms doors and loud voices. acoustic isolation is poor over priced for what we got a premier inn or travel lodge have more space are as clean and comfortable and offer dignity/privacy while us bathroom facilities paid a lot for a nice location but your not looking at the thames view when on the loo

I can't think of anything that could be improved!

Reception and all staff were extremely courteous and helpful. The facilities and bedrooms were excellent and very well appointed. It was a pleasure to stay at the Richmond Hill again.

The size of the room was very small and a bit cluster phobic. The bathroom wasn’t very separate to the room and felt like one room. The view from the room was scaffolding on another building opposite.

The location, the decor in reception and restaurant are lovely and a nice feel.

Wine prices were over the top - good selection of wines but £30 for the cheapest on the menu was over the top for a £10 bottle.

We had stayed before, about 15 years ago. Everything about the stay was great and it was shame it was only for one night. We particularly like the location. The visit was a mini break. We had had an afternoon in Kew Gardens before arrival and went in to London on the following day before returning home. It was good not to have to drive either. We live just outside Bristol and the using the train was perfect. We will come again!

High shower head - I am used to using a shower with height settings Had to climb over the bed to draw the curtains No waste bowl for tea bags & spoon rest

The rooms were far too small and just badly designed. Not enough space to lay a suitcase out without using the bed for example. Breakfast didn’t open until 0700, which is quite late for an hotel. Also the gym was a bit of an afterthought!

Lovely feel to the public areas and restaurant, bar and lounge were amazing. Restaurant food in the evening was amazing, breakfast was excellent and the staff were phenomenal.

Despite paying for parking at the hotel and giving my car registration, I received a parking fine from the external parking company who manages the site. Fortunately I rang promptly and the hotel staff sorted this out very quickly but it was still quite a shock initially.
