Apart from the current stupid 20 MPH speed limit, to often in the wrong places, which is nothing to do with the hotel. The hotel was just what we needed so apart from the common lack of chairs in the room we have no issues to report.

The staff were very friendly helpful and welcoming. The room was warm and comfortable and the bed was comfortable. The facilities are as good as the 'big named' innsand suffer from the same issue of too litle furniture for comfort. One always has to break their back sitting on the bed. The surprise was the free breakfats which was a full english and was excellent. I had enough bacon and toast for a toasted bacon sandwich at lunchtime. Brilliant. Finally, there is free parking at the back of the hotel.

Personally I struggle to sleep with noise so cars, humming and music from downstairs irritated me. Also not the hotels fault but noisy guests…probably my own fault for forgetting my ear plugs really 🫣 Regardless I’d stay again!

Easy to find, great location, restaurants close by, super lovely staff, nice enough room basic but with the essentials needed (towels, hairdryer, kettle and tea) and a super decent shower!

excellent location, parking on site a bonus. breakfast hot and plentiful . room was on small side, toilet very snug in between shower and hot radiator.would certainly stay again, 2 mins to town.

Good location by entrance to old town. Plenty of parking. Nice quiet room with comfortable bed and a bath. Excellent breakfast. Kind, helpful staff allowed us to leave the car in the car park for two nights.

Only downside was our room was right at the top of the stairs and bed was against the inside wall so we could hear everyone walking up and down the corridor quite early in the morning. Perhaps the bed could be moved against a different wall... wouldn't be a problem if you go to bed late and wake up early but we were attempting to sleep in which was a bit tricky.

Staff were really friendly, huge bedroom and bathroom. Very comfortable. Private car park. Amazing location for exploring Monmouth. Bar downstairs is great if you want a drink or to watch sports.

The young waitress needs a little more training and perhaps not to be as forgetful as she was, but I'm sure she will improve quickly

Great location , good free parking. The whole place was warm, they certainly don’t scrimp on the heating. Our room was big and very clean, the bed was sooooooo comfortable. Convenient for drinks as the bar is downstairs. We booked breakfast and I’m so glad we did, it was piping hot and totally delicious. Nothing was too much trouble, we really had a great stay.

Car parking on site is a bit snug but there's room for everyone and a big carpark opposite if needed.

A suprise weekend away with friends to celebrate a special birthday. The staff were all absolutely brilliant, helping to keep everything a secret til the big reveal and could not have done more to make our stay fun, enjoyable and truly memorable. Great location for pubs, places to eat, and a walk after our full English breakfast. Exceptional service.
