Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

They don't provide breakfast. There is a branch of Morrison's in the retail park but that was quite a walk especially for an older person. It was also quite far from the town centre.

Our stay at Rosebank guest house was made so special by the host Caroline, she was so friendly and welcoming upon arrival and made us feel right at home. It was lovely every day to be greeted with a smile, she shows genuine care and interest in her guests. The room was spacious, clean and bed was comfy! We had everything we needed there and a kitkat put in our room every day (which was a lovely touch!). The cold water in the fridge was great too! Really had the best value for money too, and it was perfect location! We walked to the station which was about 20 minutes away and into town which was about 10 minutes. We will definitely be staying again!

Nothing. Everything was perfect. There was even a small fridge in the room.
The host Caroline is very kind and went above and beyond. The welcome was so thoughtful and thorough. Bedroom modern, well-equipped and very comfortable. Many thoughtful touches. Well-located for seeing Perth or bike rides out of town. And Tim Hortons doughnuts across the road!

We had absolutely no complaints.
The breakfast would be hard to beat anywhere. Started with a delicious bowl of mixed fruit with yogurt. The Scottish breakfast was piping hot and set us up for the rest of the day. There was a plentiful supply of fresh juice and coffee.

The room was beautifully decorated, clean and the bed was really comfortable. Plenty of tea and coffee and fresh water in the fridge which I really appreciated. No noise from other rooms and windows were soundproofed to cut down the noise of traffic from the busy road at the front of the house. Breakfast was delicious, fresh, warm and Caroline was such a wonderful host. I would definitely return.

Caroline was very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was perfectly prepared and tailored to our dietary requirements. The location was a very short walk from the town centre and we were provided a map with recommended restaurants on it which was very helpful. If we go back to Perth we would happily stay there again.
