Receptionist on arrival was not very happy to see us at all, didn't seem to want to engage at 1st just sat at her desk ignoring up, then seemed really miserable booking us in, not a good star

Nice clean comfy beds friendly helpful staff . Room was nice and big with double aspect sea view. Very good value.

My husband didn't like the pillows and the toilet roll hook, was in stupid position because you had to stretch over to it and near the door to enter bathroom.

The room looked average, but the shower was good, along with TV and comfortable beds.

Could do with having a fridge in the rooms.

On entering the room, found that our bathroom light didn't work. However, reception went out of her way to find us another room...which was bigger! Hotel is right on the sea front so easy access to bognor attractions. Good value for money.

The room was very hot and we could not open the window. They need to tell you that the front door will be locked at 11pm. We managed to get the night porter to open it, but we were surprised to have to do this.

The decor was much better then expected from the pictures. Lovely sea view. Good shower, nice big towels.

I reported that the bathroom light/extractor wouldn’t work if the light over the vanity unit was on. I did find that the floor was really creaky ( more a nuisance to adjoining rooms) and possibly holes in the boards under the carpet as it was quite uneven. Whilst I consider myself reasonably fit I do find steps and stairs difficult when I first get up in the morning. I therefore found stepping up and down to the bathroom a struggle and I would have felt more confident with a hand grip to help. However I do realise that the wall each side of the bathroom door was not a solid brick wall and therefore this might be difficult.

Location was fine as I was visiting family in the locality. I didn’t eat at the hotel. I was going to have an evening meal but there was no price on the menu at the door, and I was slightly put off as a number of items were only available if previously ordered. I assume this was catering for the people who were part of the coach party. Bar price for a glass of wine was excellent at £6 for 250mls, and the Merlot was good. Staff were friendly. On arrival I was surprised to be asked if I’d like help with my luggage. The lady hoovering the corridor was especially pleasant. Parking was easy. Ground floor toilets were very clean. The TV remote was easy to use!

That it wasn’t soundproof. The couple above I could everything they said even down to the snoring. Also the hotel entertainment was so loud it may have been in my room….

Location of room at the back overlooking fire escape stairs and noise from air vents or generator throughout the night. Why are solo travellers always given the worst rooms?

Usual problems In budget locales - loose toilet seats, shower door, draughts, etc - nothing insurmountable though. The dinner - not amazing - but apparently better than you get In prison or the NHS.

I arrived the same time as a coach tour which is obviously what the hotel relies on. No problem there, just something to be aware of if you are looking for something smaller and more intimate.

Staff helpful and friendly. Location ideal. Breakfast good.

The room was very drafty / cold and the radiator did not give sufficient heat, so the second electric heater provided needed to stay on all night which is not ideal. The bed could have had an extra thick blanket on too.

The staff were very accommodating the service was great also the breakfast was nice. The room was clean with the basics provided.

We booked a superior room which in itself was charming. However, no toiletries were provided and the tv was very small. Unable to watch it from our bed! Chairs not very comfortable either. Breakfast poor. Plenty of it, but the cooked breakfast and porridge were tasteless and overcooked.

Location and historical significance of the building. Superior room with a sea view was lovely.

we had a bedroom facing the rear of the building, it would have been nicer to have had one overlooking the sea, but the hotel was fully booked and it was only for one night.

The room was clean and tidy and comfortable, the breakfast was good and filling, and the staff were very helpful. we would have liked to stay longer ,but had to move on to our final destination , which was poor in comparison .

The breakfast was lovely, and the staff were very polite, the location was great, right on the seafront, and it was only a short walk to the town.
