Brilliant dog friendly had a garden room which was a bonus. The welcome pack from Cumin for the dog was lovely touch. Food was very good and breakfast excellent

Spotlessly clean and cosy. The bed was very comfortable. Staff were efficient, super nice and friendly, and extremely helpful. Food was very good . Wine was really good and reasonably priced. Plenty of on road parking in front of the Inn. I'd recommend it to anyone.

The staff were really super, attentive and very friendly. Easy parking and the room and bed was really comfortable. As it was a family reunion they kindly gave us have a table for 12 in a private dining room - very thoughtful.

Carpets looked dated and did spoil the look of the cottage it felt a little scruffy downstairs. Bath mat and plug plus the vaccum need replacing.

Pub was small and always welcoming we ate there 3 nights. Every meal was a great portion and delicious. We stayed in the cottage beds were lovely and comfortable clean linen and towels provided fully equipped kitchen and very large bathroom ideal for couples and families.

Having last stayed here just after COVID restrictions were lifted, it was great to see the hard work put in by Cass and her husband has paid off; the hotel was buzzing with popularity. There is no negative comment; this hotel does what it says on the label and is what one expects of a country inn.

The warm reception on arrival through to the delicious and wonderfully presented and satisfying meals in the evening and at breakfast were exceptional. The staff were impressively efficient and faultlessly polite; their team work was of the highest standard!

This isn't a negative as we liked everything - more something to bear in mind if you're really tall. We were in the attic room which has sloping ceilings and some bits which are also quite low. It's an old building so just one of those things, and it didn't bother us, but if you're over 6ft you might want to ask for another room lower down!

really nice pub B&B. We arrived here after a 16 mile hike (doing a week of the Pennine Way) in less than ideal weather. The room was warm and cosy with a huge, comfortable bed and a good shower. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and it was well prepared. The staff were also really friendly and helpful. We also ate dinner at the pub. There was a good choice of food and it was nicely cooked, tasty and reasonably priced. Having stayed at a different B&B every night for a week now, this was one of our favourites and also one of the cheapest. Would definitely stay here again.

Garden could’ve been a little bit tidier but wasn’t really much of an issue.

Nice and quiet when it came to night time. Lovely scenery around and next to a relatively quiet road. Food is quite nice too!
