Hotel appears a little tired decor- wise but still presentable. Large fan left in room (from summer?) needn't have been there. Cold water mostly quite warm.

Complimentary ev charging bay. Bedding issue promptly addressed Really good cooked breakfast & fruit too. Friendly staff Room nice and warm throughout night.

The hot water was at boiling point so there was a danger of being burnt! (we did mention this to reception) There wasn't a choice of smoked/unsmoked bacon for breakfast. It was assumed everyone likes smoked bacon.

We chose this location as we used to live nearby and came to meet up with people we knew there. Breakfast was good-not too much choice so cooked well. Staff were helpful and friendly.

The temperature of the hot water in the bathroom was extremely hot and I think there should be a notice warning of this. I know it's good to have hot water but it was scalding.

Good location for us as we were attending a wedding a couple of miles away. Lovely hotel with lots of character. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was nice and cosy with tea and coffee making facilities and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was nice with complimentary toiletries and a great shower over the bath. Breakfast was great with lots of choice, continental or full English, you help yourself to whatever you want. Plenty of car parking space and beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.

Our original room definitely needed some tlc a replacement mattress and a thorough clean would help.

We come to Santos every year for Christmas as it’s in walking distance to relatives. Our room wasn’t up to par this time around and we voiced these concerns with the reception staff, they went above and beyond to accommodate our needs which made for a comfortable relaxing stay.

My room was in need of renovation, while all was working and the mattress was comfortable, it was quite outdated. Still all in all OK.

Nice small hotel with free parking facilities, pub, restaurant, very friendly personnel and comfortable rooms. The price was in accordance with what you get and the food was very good. All personnel was extremely friendly.

I arrived very stressed as had a terrible journey and was so late for a wedding…..I would have appreciated the lady on reception actually calling a taxi company rather than just giving me the number. Breakfast room rather glum as each side outside space so there were net curtains which made it seem not night or day…..the room obviously was used for evening functions.

Wonderful location. Good room Lovely toiletries Comfortable bed Breakfast was lovely, good choice, yoghurt, pastries, cereal, fresh fruit salad and a self serve cooked breakfast which was replenished regularly. I was a single guest but they didn’t mind me sitting at a larger table .

There was a wedding reception on the night we stayed. Unfortunately the outside smoking area seats were right outside our window. Very loud talking and laughing kept us awake until 1.30am

The hotel was very clean, the beds were comfy. A very nice hotel. Unfortunately the position of our room was not great.

There appeared to be a constant humming from either an air conditioner or the like. I found this to be the only distraction on this visit.

No shelf in the shower for shampoo etc. If this was the only problem then you can see it is a great place.

The staff were polite but not very attentive. Food was tasty, and plenty of options. I was told table service but after waiting I had to order at the bar, waited for 2-3 minutes for my cutlery after my dinner had been served. Finished plates left on the table for half an hour. Not a huge problem, but the staff just seemed preoccupied, polite but inattentive, despite being plenty of them.

The window in our room had a broken catch but nothing much apart from that.

A hotel with charcter and charm and yet not far from the main roads. The food was good , not fancy but well cooked and good quality. Staff were friendly. It's in a pretty village with pleasant views over the Amaber Valley.

There was a wedding event which was fine overall but from check in to check out we felt like 2nd class guests to the wedding party

Nice hotel, overall good service but main restaurant service waiters/waitresses seemed to be tired and unhappy which was a big disappointment because the food was good
