How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

That we couldn’t open a window for some fresh air into the room… by the following morning I felt it was really needed…this was the only negative … everything else was great
Great location for what we needed … ie train station to venue etc… fast check in … staff very friendly and polite … very clean and tidy everywhere

Nice room but really small. Very little space to hang clothes. Bad air ventilation in the room, apart from the air conditioning.
Nice room with very good sound isolation. Great location for visiting Cardiff

Rooms were a little cramped,! No place for two people to sit down at the same time.
Incredibly helpful and welcoming staff on the reception desk, at breakfast and around the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble!

I have stayed here before and had a great stay. This time the toilet was leaking and the room stunk of urine.

The paintwork in the room needed, refreshing.

- The size of the bathroom was too small for 4 people - There was no storage place at all, only 4 hangers - 1 window, which cannot be opened, so the air was heavy, especially after all 4 of us took showers in the morning / evening; as a result, there was mold on the bathroom wall/ceiling already (though everything looked brand new) - The safe did not work in either of our rooms (we had 2 rooms) - Breakfast was quite limited in terms of offer / variety - Parking was a real pain
- It was very well located in the center, close to the train station, which was key for us - The size of the room was quite good, even for 4 people - The beds were comfortable - It was very modern - The staff was very friendly

Not really but the curtain in the room cannot cover the window. There is street light comes into the room at night.

Couldn't get many channels in the TV but found enough for my short stay.

Rooms very warm, there is aircon, but it was very loud. Also lots of black mould on and hanging off the shower heads. Could so with more than one extra pillow - as bunk beds have two pillows and a cushion each. While double bed has the same, and could do with having 4 pillows.
We managed to check in early - and staff all very polite and helpful. Great value for money and brilliant location.

The front of house girl was so welcoming and nothing was to much bother she's a delight and should be recognised for her commitment unfortunately I didn't get her name

The mat that was used to slide across the window at night did let light into the room which disrupted us a bit.
Sleeperz was in a great location - right next to the train station and near the main spots in Cardiff. The room was really comfortable and it was a great base for our stay.

Excellent location, right next to the Cardiff Central station and the breakfast is very good. offering a wide variety of options including vegan choices that can be requested in advance. Also the staff is very polite- highly recommendable!

Room was a little tired. Curtain track was hanging by a thread from the ceiling and loose shower door handle, but overall for a 1 night stay, good value for money and convenient for everything.
Next door to the train station; easy to find. Easy walking distance to the Utilita arena and eating places.

In our room we could hear intermittent noise, like a clock ticking, from 11pm to 7 am, impossible to sleep with that noise. The blackout does not cover the whole window. The breakfast is not worth it, you can have a better and cheaper breakfast on the bar in front of the hotel.
Excellent location, small but nice room with all you need for a weekend in Cardiff.

The towels provided weren’t clean! Bits stuck to one of them, not sure if they’d been changed? Toilet flush was also broken.
The property location was great, perfect by the train station and main strip of Cardiff! Room was perfect size as only needed to sleep in there!
