To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomFirstly, there aren't enough showers for the amount of people, leading to large queues in the morning. It may help to subdivide some of the larger showering facilities. A person also stole my bed the first night and I had to switch rooms as a result, rather than the low-budget Goldilocks being kicked out. Furthermore, I'm a decent sleeper in most noisy conditions, but for lighter sleepers, the place is located above a noisy pub with lots of club nights at the weekend. You have been warned.
Whilst this place is just a stone's throw away from Hammersmith Station and located around a large number of shops and pubs, it offers a franchise-focussed atmosphere. Showers were decent and there were sufficient amenities like a microwave, study room, and a large pub. The beds were comfy and offered enough plugs and sockets, and also contained convenient storage bins with secure locking. Additionally, the staff assisted me with any issues and were always on call when needed.

UkraineThe common area is a tiny room that fits three people sitting down at stools and no room for anything else at all. There is no kitchen to speak of; there is a microwave, disposable utensil, coffee and tea that a bed and toilet is all that the hostels provides.

United KingdomThe staff on the front desk could be friendlier. There was a man and woman on the desk when I checked in, the man was pleasant and helpful but the woman treated me as though I was an inconvenience, she wasn't rude but she wasn't remotely friendly. A smile goes a long way

United KingdomPleasantly surprised by this place. For being in the center of a busy area and on top of a bar it was super quite. I stayed in a.4 need mixed room which has it's own bathroom and shower. The room was small, but beds were comfy and each had a locker and charging station. Staff were very welcome and helpful.
