The rooms themselves are a little bit run down, mold on bathroom ceiling. Breakfast seemed to be a bit of a mess, with no eggs, and very little cooked food left.

The staff were very helpful regarding an issue with my room and moved me straight away. I liked the way the girls at reception introduced themselves and were very approachable and friendly. The best was extremely comfortable.

Better drinks machines at breakfast.

The staff were very helpful and polite the breakfast was good but the drinks machines were poor just as well there is a Starbucks on site, genuinely very good for the room price, great value.

Electronic check-in was farcical. It didn't work, and for something that's supposed to make check-in quicker and more efficient, it took 3 x staff members to eventually check me in. Pub / Grill for eating was far too noisy, not a pleasant environment for a meal, and not particularly clean either. Got my.order wrong as well.

The main attraction to where we choose to book is if there is a pool. Unfortunately, they had maintenance on the pool, so it was closed during our stay. We was only notified a day before, as we'd used booking.com they wouldn't allow us to change to another village hotel, which is fair, but when paying you expect all facilities advertised to be open unless stated otherwise. All they could say is you'd have to pay extra for the pool anyway if it was open, yes £5 which we had counted for. I do feel the hotel should have notified booking.com as we would not have booked it otherwise. We will stay again, but we will be calling before to ensure the pool facilities are open.

Hotel its self is lovely, clean and situated in a good area.

Slightly worrying when I arrived that the hotel said they had been over booked. If I had arrived any later there would have been no room at the inn. I arrived within the times I had stated.

We had prepaid for breakfast and everyone wanted eggs. My parents were there also as had stayed in a different room. We were told there were only 2 eggs left. I find this absolutely ridiculous. We were by no means last to breakfast it still had at least an hour to run. My children basically had a piece of toast and we paid full price. The staff in restaurant a rather loud lady wasn't at all bothered and told us just the way it is!! We were visiting from Scotland and were checking out to head to my grandads funeral. I was unable to bring up my dissatisfaction at reception due to another guest having a very loud argument with 3 members of staff about something he wasn't happy with. It's such a shame that breakfast and restaurant staff let this down as our room was amazing

The room (initially) but this was resolved and we were moved. Also the breakfast … will remember not to pay extra for this in future and go to a harvester where it’s cooked ‘to order’

The bedroom furniture was very warn made the room look un loved. The menu in the restaurant was limited and expensive.

The rooms lacked sockets near the bed to charge mobile phones and to plug in a cpap machine. The only socket available was at the opposite side of the room. Although the cable was long enough to reach. The machine was still out of arms reach, which meant that I kept getting woken up by getting tangled up in the tubing. If the machine was nearer my head, then the tubing would have been OK.

You can hear everything happening in the corridor. Cleaners having a full blown conversation outside your room at 9am is not the best way to be woken up.

One of the staff at breakfast quite rude and abrupt, Hair found in breakfast both mornings, one by myself, one by my boyfriend. Room was cold on first evening, even with heating on, but did warn up second day.

I was at the hotel for a Christmas party, the security staff were extremely rude and aggressive to al the guests when the party stopped at 12.45. There was no residents bar once the party had finished

No plugs by the beds.

Overall, a good stay. Staff were helpful and food was good. Room was a good size, bed comfy although pillows not. Lack of plugs by the bed was a pain for charging phone overnight. No air con but I just switched off the radiator. For my purposes though it was fine and will definitely stay again.
