Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomRoom was clean but very tired and in need of updating. Major pluck in the carpet, crumbling paint and plaster. Bathroom accessories broken but still in situ.
Great location, good to have a pool and good to have a restaurant on site

United KingdomWe booked a double room Two single bed..(£249.00 ) we were told a day later that there were no double rooms left ( only 16 guests in the hotel)and we would be upgraded to a superior room for an extra £10…. We were given room 37 which overlooking the rear of the building where building work was being done and started at 8:00am prompt with diggers - dump trucks banging around outside our window… the prices in the bar were very expensive ( double G&T and a pint of lager £17:00 )we were in the bar in the evening and were told the bar will close a 10:00pm,,,so had to go to a local bar…
Close to shops and restaurants … clean and warm hotel.. lovely buffet breakfast…

United KingdomThe swimming pool was a bit basic and very cold. Also when swimming in the evening it was full of hair which kept getting caught in my fingers. The only other niggle I had was the water glasses at breakfast and in the evening weren’t very clean. We also had to go through 5 bowls one evening to find a clean one.
The location of the property is ideal right on the beach and only a short drive into Blackpool. Food was nice and staff very friendly. If there wasn’t anything the kids liked to eat the chef was very happy to accommodate and make something else. Evening entertainment was also good for little ones.

United KingdomShower was very temperamental. Pillows lumpy and hard. Worried about the text saying building work was going on but actually didn't bother us at all.
Entertained the children really well. The guy doing dancing, games, circus skills with them was very good and obviously very experienced at managing the children. They enjoyed the swimming pool with towels provided. Table tennis and crafts. Snacks and drinks in the lounge were good. Staff were lovely and very patient with children asking for change for machines etc.

United KingdomA little bit of noise from the entertainment downstairs while we were trying to get the little one to sleep but it wasn’t too bad and they did warn us about it before arrival.
Very child friendly, lovely touches like the teddy bear in our room. The pool was great for times when the weather was bad so we couldn’t get out and about. Staff were really helpful.

Now you may wonder why we didn’t complain … what happened was we were meeting family and our all day till late afternoon by time we did actually go in room i was so tired couldn’t be bothered

United KingdomWe came for Mother's Day and my mum's birthday after not being for years, it was a fabulous stay. The breakfast and dinner couldn't complain, the food was great and all fresh. The staff were lovely and drinks were reasonable, entertainment was brilliant for the kids, pool was clean, arcades could do with a bit of updating but were ok for what my son wanted. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

United KingdomWe stayed in the family room in the annexe, which was very spacious. But the toilet is right next to the wall so it is very cramped and you can't sit straight.
Excellent venue for families, with family entertainment in the evenings. Plenty of child focused entertainment and activities. Breakfast was very good with a full range of options available. Free parking at the front of the property is a bonus and the swimming pool is great. Five minutes walk from the square in St Annes, with a good range of shops and pubs/restaurants.
