Lock on bathroom door not working, no electric charge point for car. It would be wrong for me to let a future experience taint my my view/experience of a previous visit but I have to mention it - A couple of weeks later I had an emergency call out to the same job so I phoned the hotel at 9.30am and was put through to 'reservations'. I thought they may be serving breakfast so left my details and my requirements (two night's stay). No response, so I left another message in the afternoon about the urgency of my booking...no reply....ever...still waiting. Not good.

A lovely house in a cute village with great surrounding countryside. Close to motorway but not noisy. Good restaurant there. Comfortable room for a solo traveller too. Staff were especially friendly and helpful.

I think it is in the middle of refurbishment it has recently been acquired by new owners) and the interior needs some redecoration. Staff seem quite new and not sure of what was available food wise. We arrived mid afternoon after a long drive and would have liked a sandwich or afternoon tea but this was unavailable. We had coffee and although the barman did offer biscuits he couldn’t find any. For dinner we opted for roast beef which came in large thick chunky slices with masses of fat over hanging a crowded plate which is not to my taste.

Beautiful location and gardens. Hotel is lovely and retains its original features. Staff very friendly and polite. One resident was quite rude to one young waiter in particular, picking fault with everything (I felt she was being racist to be honest) but he remained professional and polite to her at all times so well done to him!!

The only issue was the bed which was comfortable and huge..but the single sheet covering the bed topper on top of the mattress(no sheet) didn't make us want to sleep under the thin duvet.But still only a minor issue.

The location is superb.Situated in the Cotswolds and very picturesque.The grounds and garden of the hotel are beautiful as is the building itself. A special mention for Ceri the manager who bent over backwards to accommodate our special requirements.Because of her alone we would definitely be staying again here. The bath was massive and comfy as was the bed.

We were in room 3 and it was quite loud as we were just over reception and the bar/restaurant (which is all open plan). The bathroom had some black mould around the windows. The food was underwhelming, we had read some great reviews of the food and it was disappointing.

Staff were amazing and were incredibly helpful. Check in was easy and the location was great, just off the M5 and perfectly located for the wedding we were attending. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was very spacious.

The pricing structure was confusing and even the staff didn't seem to fully understand it.

The location and the room were excellent, comfortable and close to major routes. The food in the restaurant was excellent.

Lovely situation, generous well equipped rooms, super king bed all at a very good price. We didn't eat or use the bar but all looked very pleasant. We shall certainly stay here again and, unusually for us, recommend it highly to family and friends

There was frosted glass for the bathroom, which if I was sharing the room, I might not have found suitable.

I was arriving late, just looking for a comfortable stay close to a meeting next morning. Key left ready for me, room warm and very clean. It is a lovely old building, so room layout may be quirky in some areas, but I was very happy with my room. It was just as I wanted, a great price and a quiet place to stay. Very comfortable night's sleep.

The preparation to our room prior to our arrival seemed slightly lacking (although I did book last minute), at first the room was quite cold, the reason being no one had turned the radiators on prior to our arrival. We also booked a room for 2 and only had one towel provided, and no hand towel. The wifi wasn't the best, and the signal was also quite poor for my network in that area.

The building itself was lovely and parking was ample. The room was spacious and the bed was comfy. Great location. Would return.

The bathroom did not suit the building not that that is a fault but if it was more traditional I think the room would be worth more, there was aslo no shower holder for the shower head but we managed!

It’s a little tired in places, but the staff are really friendly and very professional which makes up for it.

Location being just off the M4, but far enough to not be disturbed, is ideal.
