The room wasn’t the cleanest and smelt a bit musty there was 3 dead flies on the window sill , cobwebs on the ceiling, the floor in the bathroom was all stained cracks on the bathroom ceiling the shower curtain didn’t fit properly so water poured out the side.

There could do with more info in the room about what’s on offer and a map of where to find things. The shower in the room needs to be deep cleaned as it had a a fair bit of lime scale. There were no robes available the pool when we needed them. Just a few small things to make it perfect!

The property and grounds are stunning! There’s lots of things to do and the rooms are comfortable. It was a really relaxing stay, we didn’t feel rushed. The Library barman and the lady managing the breakfast were exceptionally lovely.

Bathroom mirror not made for people under 5’ ! Other mirrors were available in the room, so not a huge problem, but a slightly lower mirror would be good! Also, a hook on back of entry door to hang coat! Other than that, brilliant!

Very good breakfast and dinner. Lovely clean rooms, lovely view, very pleasant stay. Also a lovely indoor pool and jacuzzi!

We stayed on quite a cold weekend. It is winter afterall. Unfortunately the room (being very large with very high ceilings) was 'fresh' to say the least. One tiny freestanding radiator and heating that didn't really work. I rang down for a couple of extra blankets and two horse blankets arrived!!! Luckily, we both have a sense of humour. That said, what was meant to be a romantic birthday present for my husband was not.

Breakfast and food generally very good. Service very good. Room enormous. Grounds lovely.

A Tesla supercharger to replace the Tesla "domestic" charger perhaps? It is hard to improve upon something that has worked so well for centuries, because the fabric of the building and its bucolic setting have endured for good reason.

Quirky, traditional property in amazing grounds. We arranged a clay pigeon shoot intro with Simon & Gill from Rutland Outdoor Pursuits which was fantastic and we’d highly recommend!

Only down side was we were unable to figure out how to turn on the shower and it was extremely stiff to turn but we had left it not long before checking out to try and shower so didn't really have time to wait for staff to come help so we didn't ask.

Really beautiful venue, attended for a wedding so we decided to book a room to stay. Room was lovely, bed was really comfy. Fan was supplied due to heat wave without us asking. All of the staff provided exceptional customer service. Food was beautiful. I wish we had enough time to use the spa facilities but unfortunately we were unable to.

+: Our room, Warner, had a comfortable bed and a lovely view with large bathroom. -: Decoration was tired, the curtains were faded and torn through sun damage and tv cabinet scuffed.

breakfast was a good buffet and staff were helpful. More fresh fruit would have been nice.
