We were expecting two rooms but it is one large room divided with an en suite.

Fabulous views, lovely hosts and well equipped room. The new hosts have just taken over the pub and we wish them all the best.

The room was very small to have 2 guests and a dog. There were no towels like stated luckily we had packed one. The bed was very close to the kettle facility which was knocked a few times in the night when turning over.

Extremely comfy beds and friendly owner

Needs a bit of TLC. Felt it was overpriced especially as no breakfast was included.

There are a few little touches that would make this accommodation perfect; the towels were a little threadbare and not very big - bath sheets would be preferable. There was no soap at the handbasin so we had to use shower gel. The light above the bathroom mirror didn’t work so it wasn’t very good lighting for putting on makeup. These are minor issues which could easily by rectified then I would highly recommend this place 😊

Very friendly and helpful host. Nice to have a separate entrance to the suite. Nice bedlinen and bathroom. Room was in good decorative order and had convenient bedside tables and plug sockets. The living room was attractive and comfortable. It was a great location for us as we were visiting our son who has recently relocated to Stroud. We had breakfast at the volunteer run community cafe and shop. Very reasonable price and friendly volunteers.

The double room that 2 of us stayed in was a bit chilly (the weather was freezing!)

It was very cold. In the room and in the pub. People were sitting drinking in coats and hats. There was a large wood stove with a good log pile which remained unlit. The room was cold and the bathroom icy.

    Comfy beds

The green glow in the dark light in the bedroom

Ken was very welcoming and friendly. The room was comfortable and the bathroom tiny but well appointed. Unfortunately the kitchen was being refurbished while we were staying so I have no comment on the food. You could purchase a pint and pizza for £10.

Was quite quiet considering it was a Friday night. More food on offer would be good considering the distance to other options. No breakfast but there is a volunteer cafe next door. Opened too late for us though.

Room was pretty good and clean. Bathroom facilities were good. Pretty quiet apart from some noise from the bar at night but not too bad. No food on offer but were offered a pizza. Suited us fine for what we needed.

There was nowhere in walking distance for an evening meal so it would have been better if the pub served a selection of meals. However, there was pizza on offer which saved the day and I understand the kitchen was being refurbished so I hope a range of meals will be offered in future.

Fantastic location. Stunning views and great dog walks. Comfy and clean bedroom and ensuite. Friendly and helpful landlord. Nearby community cafe was great for a lovely cooked breakfast.

Compact, spotlessly clean rooms, super-comfy bed. Our rooms were in a beautiful cotswold stone cottage at the side of an historic village pub, with a beer garden and gorgeous views across the fields. Chilled, friendly and welcoming atmosphere and we loved the Pizza and a Pint deal for £10! Wide selection of beers and a very friendly landlord.

The pillows were too thin for our taste but you get two. There is no other restaurant or place to eat close to it. The closest one is 20 minutes downhill and you need to go uphill back, no ubers in the area and maybe bit difficult to use taxis for short distances.

It was very clean, big room, twin beds, very warm and cosy. New bathroom with shower and hot water. Parking space on the back and nice bar.
