There was a loud fan noise just outside the room, and other guests where quite loud in the evening. Within the room, only main things would be a pole to help pull down the blinds (I'm not very tall) and a light on the dressing table.

The team were very helpful, welcoming us and allowing slightly early access to accommodation which was most welcome after several hours in the car with kids! They also organised a simple early breakfast as we had to leave too early for proper breakfast. Their helpfulness was very much appreciated. The room itself was great. The twin beds for the kids where separated from the adult room by a curtain, this was excellent to get the kids settled.

The room was very good and big, clean new carpet, air freshener in the room, I liked the fact that the girls bedroom had a curtain so it gave us more privacy. Windows have a blind. The bathroom is a good size, mostly clean but there were hair in the corner, behind the rubbish bin and the bottom of the sink taps had a black stain which was easy to remove.

The fact that the room was next to a pub where we could have freshly made tasty food, Station inn is near the train station, breakfast included was a good idea, friendly and helpful staff. And the very friendly dog

The bathroom was very "tired" and needed improvement around the bath and screen in particular. The restaurant and bar area was also very tired looking and somewhat rundown

The bedroom was lovely, well furnished and large. Good variety of food choices and reasonably priced

No issues with the property but a few other guests were very noisy, into the early hours of the morning and there’s no staff on site overnight to ask for help with that.

So much character and it felt very homely. The food and drink did not disappoint and the staff were friendly and a good laugh to keep this solo traveller company!

This is an old staging Inn, the rooms being in a converted barn space. As such, noise travels but it didn’t disturb our sleep. The decor and furnishings in our room were tired and the converted space has a ventilation problem, causing quite a bit of black mold around the window and curtains. The owners are making changes so no doubt this will be addressed in due course.

The staff are super friendly and accommodating. The food was very good but of particularly note was the choice of gluten-free/dairy-free options my daughter had! They were all prepared for her intolerances but the menu had super diet-friendly options as a matter of course which was impressive! The only suggestion in this regard would be to have a gluten-free breakfast cereal but, otherwise, she was most impressed with the breakfast. It’s also very pet friendly and accommodated my two yappy Miniature Dachshunds with great magnanimity! Although next to a road, the extensive parking and play areas provided ample room for the dogs to sniff around!

    Nothing at all.

The accommodation was great; large, clean room with tea and coffee, plenty of space and a comfy bed. The bathroom was well appointed and provisioned; shower worked perfectly - and so did the soap dispensers (a pet hate of mine, cos usually they don't). Out of town and right next to some lovely walking. The pub was excellent: staff really friendly but not trying too hard, locals were great - a real old-fashioned pub feel about it. Food was good, decent pub fare (we had hanging kebabs which were actually hung; who knew?) and the beer was real and well conditioned. Very reasonable price, too.

Perfect location for us as we were travelling north. Rooms are old, which we don't mind. We had the best sleep, as quiet & comfortable. We had dinner & breakfast at the pub & extremely happy with the food & service. We have stayed at this hotel previously in 2019.

This was perfect as we arrived, just what we needed on a dark, wet evening in December! Bright, welcoming, plenty of parking and (very good) food and drink available. Room separate from the pub itself, quiet & comfy.
