Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IcelandRight away we had to ask for a room change as the twin beds were pushed together (though that would have been easy to resolve) but also the bathroom was very small (might have worked in a single room) and the bottom of the shower hadn't been cleaned properly. Thankfully we were able to change rooms and got a room where the bathroom was cleaner and suited us a lot better.
I really like the location which is the main reason why I chose to stay there. 24h reception was also very important due to our timing of our arrival and departure. I liked that the staff did take heed of our wishes.

United KingdomCheck in did not meet our very early request for rooms close by. Staff were quite non-plussed. Breakfast was chaotic, understaffed and kept running out of food.
Coffee and water stations were fantastic. Room was adequate

Isle of ManThe room was exceptionally clean, and was cleaned and refreshed everyday with great care and attention. It was really quiet so a good night's sleep was easy, and this while being right in the heart of London. The staff were superb, - a smile and helpful response to every question (eg where's good to eat?) and request (can I have more teabags?).

United KingdomThe room was near the lift so could hear people going to their room. Not enough sockets ,had to put kettle on the floor to plug in. Could not charge phone, use hairdryer and boil kettle at the same time.. Felt that the room was small,Had issue getting in and out of shower, it was tight for space.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Provided with extra milk and teabags at reception. Was informed that I was upgraded. For a one night stay it was ok. Television worked ok. Bed was comfortable. There was an extra pillow. Hair dryer was fine.

United Kingdom"While our stay at St Giles Hotel had many positives, there were a few drawbacks. The room felt cramped due to its small size, and the bed, although adequate, wasn't as comfortable as we hoped and could benefit from an upgrade. Additionally, despite being informed about ongoing work, the noise on the morning of our departure was a slight inconvenience."
"We had a wonderful stay at St Giles Hotel in London! Right from the start, we were impressed with their accommodating service, allowing us to store our luggage for free until we could check in. Our room, though small, was the epitome of comfort and cleanliness, providing us with a peaceful retreat. Despite being pre-warned about ongoing room upgrades, we barely heard any noise, except for a minimal amount on the morning of our departure, which was completely within our expectations. The hotel's location is unbeatable, situated right next to Tottenham Court Station, offering unparalleled access to the entire city. Additionally, the service in the bar and cafe area was commendable, ensuring our stay was as enjoyable as possible. We highly recommend St Giles Hotel for its exceptional hospitality and strategic location, making our London visit truly memorable."

United KingdomMy room wasn’t cleaned on Saturday day despite having the ready for a clean tag on the door, the duvet cover was stained quite badly on arrival. I understand the room had been recently spruced up but the paint smell was quite strong.
The staff are excellent. The bar staff on Saturday 23/3 were both courteous, warm, engaging and professional. The kitchen staff this weekend for the buffet breakfast were great. Especially the young lady working this weekend who was proactively and effectively clearing the mountains of plates and cups in the mornings like an absolute trooper! The receptionist who book us in was also excellent on Friday!

United KingdomWas upgraded to the deluxe room which had a great view of the city. But the lifts to that floor were never working so had to walk a further 2 flights of stairs up. The large velux window made it difficult to sleep, bright lights from the city and you wake up at dawn. Need to invest in blackout blinds! Photo shared at 6am!
Central location close to Tottenham Court Road underground station. Lovely view over central London. A couple of restaurants on site if you’re desperate for a late night dinner.
