Breakfast room was understaffed and refilling empty trays took time. Also clearing the table during the breakfast didn't happen. There were no clean plates anywhere at one point

Nice clean rooms. Reception staff friendly and efficient. Location perfect for University activities.

The hotel is older. No accommodations when you arrived early

I worked with the university and that was great. Many taxis needed to go other places

    The pillows were not comfortable.

Nice room and friendly helpful staff. The use of the swimming pool on campus was a bonus. The only thing that would make this hotel special is if it had a view of the lake from the front.

The rooms are a little tired and could do with a bit of an update. The bed is quite small for a hotel as is the television and there was some paint peeling off the ceiling in the bathroom.

Lovely location with great staff and excellent breakfast.

I cant think of anything I didnt like. I did read reviews on TripAdvisor to which some sounded bad but everyone has different expectations and experiences

The staff were brilliant, chatty, helpful and smiling. The hotel is in the grounds with the University and there is a loch. The grounds are beautful and peaceful. I drove so had to register my car as so not to get a parking ticket. At first I did think its too far out from the town but there is a bus service which I used a cpl of times. Its great. I did walk from the hotel to the town centre which is about a 50 min walk. To the Wallace monument it's about a 25 min walk to the car park and cafe at the base ( a further 20 min walk up unless you take the free shuttle bus ).. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. I did have one evening meal which was only sweet potato chips with chilli sauce and a side of olives. The chips were great and the portion size was much larger than I expected.

Even with the radiator off, it got very warm in the room. Being a ground floor room, we were conscious of not having the window open. Perhaps including a fan in these rooms would be good.

Comfy bed, friendly staff, good breakfast and we loved the view and we saw some deer.

Later check out time of 11 would be nicer

Room was comfortable, staff were all really friendly and helpful, breakfast was great (lots of choice, especially nice fresh fruit), location is lovely being in the middle of the university grounds (during Easter holidays so really quite with most students away). Great location for going into Stirling and all the countryside around.

For a room that is a good size the bed was a quite small. Most good hotels rooms now have a larger king size bed. For some reason the staff keep the double doors into the lounge wide open. This made the lounge cold as every time anyone came into the hotel the the cold air blasted into the lounge.

Have used this hotel before. Chose not to have breakfast as we only have tea and cereal bar. The location is very good and it is only a short distance from the Wallace Monument which is worth a visit. It is also only a 5min drive to the town centre and castle. The room is a good size and comfortable.

I booked this because it was dog friendly, however we couldn't take the dog into the bar when we wanted a drink.. I get not being able to go into the restaurant but feel that the bar shouldn't have been a problem. Also booked disabled friendly, but beds were very high, ( my disabled mother is only 4'11) and bathroom was a bath not shower .

Great location, friendly helpful staff. Good food , clean and tidy rooms. Very comfortable bed. Very central to all the places we wanted to visit . Great value for money
