We loved everything, especially that it was pet friendly and got to meet loads of dogs. Lovely place we wished we could have stayed longer. Great room, delicious food - both breakfast and dinner. Loved the bar. great view. We would have loved to have had the time to explore futher.

It would have been nice to be offered a roll and butter whilst choosing our meal. We ordered some table water and were charged for bottled On check-out there was a bar bill that we never had on our bill - to be fair though, the hotel took it off with no issue

We were on a DBB basis and all food we had was amazing.... presentation and flavour combinations were outstanding. The view from the restaurant was overlooking the Lake and was beautiful on a sunny morning.

It's doggy friendly which suited us but some people might have issues with that.

Staff are absolutely fabulous in this hotel - many have been there for years and are really dedicated to their castle hotel. Food is also delicious and the view form the dining room is world class! STUNNING!

With 3/4 open fireplaces only 1 was in use. This made it a very popular areas for sitting and often busy. With all the fires in use it would much nicer and more cosy.

Amazing location with beautiful views and internally the castle was traditional and not over modernised

Dinner/bar menu prices for food were rather expensive. Drinks were very fair. Breakfast service was very good and staff very attentive. Food came very quickly and did not appear to be 'cooked to order' which would have made the full Scottish breakfast look more appetising.

Staff were very welcoming and understanding of our slightly late arrival (ferry issues). The decor and furnishings give this hotel a very authentic 'stately home' feel and experience throughout. Loved the free roaming guests' dogs that were in the bar area. View from the dining room at breakfast was fantastic.

There were a lot a creaky floor boards which I suppose can't be helped and the decoration looked rather tired.

The staff were fantastic! From the man on reception who showed us to our room to the welcoming waiter during dinner. We loved all the various common rooms and the look of the building upon arriving.
