Sara, the owner and host was wonderful. The House, was uniquely beautiful. The setting and countryside in the Yorkshire Dales, Wesleydale was spectacular Food in the local Pub was fab. Breakfast at Stow House was delicious and the Cocktail Honesty Bar was brilliant. Thanks for having us Sara Ps..thanks Sara your recommendation for the YSP. Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Was absolutely amazing and Buxton in the Peak District was fantastic. We loved it so much we stayed the night. Thank you Sara. You are a fabulous host. See you next time. 🥰🤞

Nothing at all really the main part we didn't like was leaving we both could have stayed a few more days.

Everything about this hotel is exceptional from the views out of the windows the faultless rooms breakfast and bar area are fantastic. The decor and style of both the hostess and how they style the hotel and rooms are superb and different compared to the plain boxes of chain hotels.

We were made to feel very welcome. Sarah was friendly and kindly organised a booking for dinner for us. The room was very clean and comfortable. We only stayed one night but it was a great place and lovely location in which to break up our journey

Fantastic location! Fantastic property! Fantastic grounds! Fantastic welcoming staff! Fantastic breakfast (and choice of)! Beautiful room & Views! We wish we stayed a couple more nights! One wasn’t enough! Honestly cannot recommend a place more, we felt so at home, it felt like we was visiting family, they were so welcoming! We roamed the house and grounds freely and it was so tranquil & calm just what me and my partner needed after working our socks off in our busy city. We visited Aysgarth falls and Bolton castle which were both is very close proximity and had a few meals in recommended pubs which we really appreciated the effort from the staff to recommend as this made things much easier for us to sort! Will definitely be back, will be booking for family too as gifts!

Just One Thing is we would have liked more lamps in the room, it was a bit bright when night fell

It was amazing to arrive at the beautiful elegant Stow house after a long drive and be greeted by Sarah, a very hospitable host, who offered us an aperitif and showed us to our lovely room with everything we could have wanted to wind down (we have had a busy few months). Ordering Ordering breakfast was easy and the home cooked breakfast was a delight. Had a great chat with Kathy who's been housekeeper for decades. The art was interesting to look at and there's lots of great indoor snd outdoor spaces to relax in. We'd definitely come again

Very happy to have real coffee as an option, both in my room and at breakfast and the yogurt and homemade granola with fruit compote was absolutely delicious but the breakfast options overall seemed a bit plain.

The location is perfectly situated for local walks and rambles in this part of the Dales, or for excursions to surrounding villages and areas of interest, and Sarah provided excellent suggestions to cover all preferences. The house was absolutely lovely with attractive decor and attentive but not intrusive hosts. This is a very dog friendly property with spacious, spotless, and comfortable en suite rooms and decent WiFi. I especially enjoyed the library. Although Stow House doesn't serve evening meals, there are plenty of options for dining in local pubs and restaurants.

Fantastic location with amazing views. It was a short walk to Aysgarth Falls and about 15 mins to the village. The rooms are comfortable and stylish with some interesting pieces of art. The breakfast was lovely with a good range to choose from and made from high quality ingredients. There was a self service bar and the host made some very nice cocktails for us. It was a good atmosphere and nice to be able to speak to some of the other guest should you choose to do so.
