Excellent location. Friendly helpful staff especially on reception and at breakfast. Good breakfast menu choice. Plenty of parking. Overall great place to stay.

Location is fantastic. This hotel is well maintained and provides a very comfortable stay. Reception staff are so helpful and patient with customers. The outdoor space is well looked after with beautiful space to sit by the river.

Just something to be aware of: if you are a parent with more than 2 children under the age of 16, you will not be permitted to use the pool together. There must be 2 parents present. Really put a spanner in our enjoyment - my son is 15 and a strong swimmer, but they would not let us swim unless a second parent was present (our other children are under 16). Single parents with more than 2 kids, not sure how you'd get around this. The pool is on the small side, so it's not like it's difficult to keep an eye on everyone! Seems excessive, and this rule isn't something other hotels in the general area impose. Glad we moved on!

I suffer from asthma and windows not opening was a problem , as I like to have fresh air in the room when needed .

We waited in a long queue to check in. No apology, staff quite curt. Bizarrely the room had no drawer space. A high shelf in the wardrobe and an open shelf on the bedside table, so you live out of suitcases or put everything from make up to undies on show. Very small cramped shower over the bath, really tricky to get in and out without soaking the floor.

Excellent location. Very good breakfast with helpful staff. Cleanliness of all areas. Good service in the bar.

A small point, I work in customer service/ experience. I ordered flowers for my wife, they looked great but were balanced in a tiny shot glass and leant on the wall. as soon as she touched them, the glass fell over and water was everywhere so had to clean up. Attention to detail.

Wonderful position, loved sitting in the garden by tge water! The breakfast is one of the best I’ve had in a hotel. After I had a bad fall the staff were very attentive, the first aider was kind and caring!

The corridors upstairs were a bit claustrophobic and had a slight musty smell. The shower in our room was not very powerful and a bit useless. Not enough pillows on the bed, or plump enough.

Its location was perfect. The inside main foyer and breakfast area were very well set out. Plenty of parking.

Gluten free issues at breakfast. The toaster was incorrectly labelled. Other diners were using that toaster because the others were busy. When challenged they were ignorant of consequences for ceolaics. The desk and carpet had stains. The curtains were worn and let light through. .

Choice at breakfast was good. The bed was comfortable. Water was hot.

You cant reach the fixed soap dispensers when having a bath. You have to keep standing up which could be a safety hazard

The room was spacious and comfortable. However the following faults were found and reported to reception immediately. *The main light did not work - The electrician attended and replaced the bulb. *The room was hot and the air conditioning was ineffective - I was told this was an old system that does not work properly. *The bathroom extractor fan did not work - This was NOT tended to and remained inoperable [Health and Safety concern] *Several stains on the carpet and on the wall near the bed and the carpet was dirty - the receptionist listened to my complaints and did nothing. It was disappointing that the management of this hotel had overlooked or ignored the above. I would suggest this room should have been deep cleaned, the unsightly stains removed and checks made that everything worked properly before allocating it to a guest.

First impressions were good in respect to the reception and layout of the hotel. Breakfast excellent Hotel grounds were very good

The bathroom was a bit dated. The shower over the bath wasn’t powerful enough. This was probably the worst part of our stay.

Location was amazing. Right in the heart of the town. Breakfast was excellent with a lot of choice. It was also good quality ingredients
