Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaThe property is well located & the staff a a wonderful group of helpful & cheerful people. That said the property needs a complete interior renovation as it's gone old & frayed.
Perfect location walking distance from. The Two Rivers Mall & the Staines hig Street. The river path by the Thames is beyond stunning.

United KingdomThe hotel is dated and could do with a freshen up on the paint work and carpets. We stayed in room 61 and the water pressure for the shower was almost non existent, waited an hour to fill the bath with water.
Location was great, close to the town centre and along side the Thames River. Staff were very friendly and happy to help. The bar area was comfortable to sit and have a quiet drink and the outdoor sitting area is lovely on a nice day. The room was clean with a comfortable bed and extra pillows were provided when we requested them. Great price for 2 nights.

United KingdomThe hotel itself is a lot more run down than it looks in the pictures! In the room, there was no shampoo, body wash and hand wash, one of the two cups was dirty and there was only 1 teabag and one milk sachet. The staff replaced these things, apart from the shampoo - which they said they didn't do, despite there being an empty dispenser in the shower...?! There was black mould on the ceiling of the bathroom in places and the telephone was covered in thick dust. The carpet was also very stained. Also, the people in the room above us sounded as if they were running around and jumping off the beds for about 2 hours each evening. After that it was a quiet room though.
The bed was comfortable and the room was large. There was a bus station just across the road which took us to Thorpe Park, which is why we were at the hotel. The lady at the front desk was very nice and polite.

GermanyOld and used carpets in the hallways. Possibly long walks from the dining room to the rooms. The blankets were quite thick and thereby very warm.
Friendly and helpful employees, although if most of them were wearing bodycams (don't know the reason for that).

United KingdomThe shampoo dispenser in the shower was empty. Although I had said occupancy two adults two children, there were only two pillows supplied and one set of towels. there was a dead fly squished to the ceiling of the bathroom. These items made me then question the cleanliness of the entire room which made it hard for me to sleep. It is located on a noisy main road, for those not used to lights and noise it can be a bit much.
I liked the size of the room, and how easy it was to get to the airport by car from this location. I liked they put the cot up that we asked for. also the second room for my mom was next door to us. I liked that there were just a few stairs to the rooms.

United KingdomIt is very tired. wall paper hanging of the walls and the hall ways carpet was a bit of a trip hazard. There seemed to be staff “hall monitors” which wasn’t necessarily a bad thing as they were very pleasant, it was just a bit strange as I had never see that before in a bed and breakfast,
The bed was really comfortable, bathroom was clean and was located nicely on the river. The property is nice and big. After we checked in, we went and sat outside on the patio and had a drink, which was lovely. The staff were pleasant and very helpful and the breakfast was buffet style and very tasty 😋

United KingdomTattered worn out carpets let this property down - trip hazzard all the way to my room. Layout of the floors - too stairy! No bath soap! Dated property in need of an uplift.
Price, location, scenery, beds comfortable and shower/bath facilities pleasant enough. Shopping centre is just a few mins walk away which is perfect. The river view on the terrace in the afternoon calming for a chit chat if you're that sort of lad/gal. Although tattered carpets and winding staircases up and down mini corridors to get to one's room was frustrating, once I got into the room, the facilities were pleasant enough. Modern shower, the room I got had a beds more comfortable than the 4 star hotels I'm accustomed to staying in. Windows were quite dated and couldn't open however, this was ompensated with 2 fans. Wifi speed is pretty good! This hotel focuses on basic comforability to make up for the well needed uplift to aesthetics BUT something tells me this hotel caters for a particular niche🤪. Overall, a great night's sleep which is always key.

United KingdomThe bed was quite springy couldn't feel like we could complain because they already moved us to another room once already. The first room looked nothing like the pictures that was advertised on booking.com, but then they moved us to another which did look like the pictures on booking.com. The receptionist was not very friendly at all. The floor boards were creaky.
