It was terrible. Upon arrival, we were told no hot water until morning. The guy took 20 minutes to set up our room despite us having arrived at 8.30pm, he also explained the lock didn't have a key code so we couldn't leave our room as we had valuables in it. There was a dead bug in the middle of the room on the floor plain as day, one of the electrical outlets was 100% unsafe as it looked burnt out, the TV was leant against the wall with no stand and not plugged in, the bathroom had no light or even door! I went by myself to the shop whilst my partner stayed in the room and slipped down the dangerous wet stairs outside the loft we were staying in - during my journey to the shop the guy explained that many guests at swan inn have complained to him about the same issues I had. TERRIBLE night sleep due to the fact that there was a storm that night and the whole loft (doors and windows included) was shaking and creaking - we thought the roof might blow off! The place is all in all filthy, freezing cold, and I feel I have been ripped off! I have never complained about any of my stays on booking.com, but this was so exceptionally bad I feel I must warn everyone. No matter how cheap it is - it isn't worth it!

Seems like the double room we booked was upgraded to a family room, but I believe this is because they gave other guests our double room as they were fully booked that night, so at least we had more space.

Maybe it's specific to my stay because I arrived so late, but I arrived at 9:00 pm to find that the main door to the reception was locked and no one was in. I called the OYO hotel chain and it took a while just to get a number I could call to get someone in. Once someone came, no one asked for any confirmation of my details just asked if I had paid online and showed me to any room. The chest of drawers in my room was broken, my room looked like it had not been cleaned only the bed sheets folded, and the bed was not comfortable.

Had a place to sleep for less than 50 pounds before my flight, which was really budget-friendly. I took the bus early in the morning after my stay to catch my plane and there was no hassle.

Very dirty accommodation, very noisy, not owners fault but loud and rude people staying in adjoining rooms, staff had a big argument with people at 1.30/2am , was not impressed. Shower and toilets need a good clean

Poor Hygiene. Room full of foul smell. I requested at least room spray they gave 2 empty room spray container🤝.Offering kids duet to the adults. The room which I stayed had no security lock. Need to fight with the door to lock from inside the room. Room Outside lock totally out of order(My room). Bathroom with the broken tapes. Shower not worked properly. While I been there all people who stayed that time shouting loudly about that place. Visit before you book or choose alternative. Only can choose when you don’t have other option.

Whilst I didn't have huge expectations given the price, I don't feel cleanliness is something that should be paid extra for however the level of cleanliness, especially in the communal toilet and shower area, was extremely poor. The double bed in our room was broken, wallpaper was stained and peeling, holes in the wall where the very small TV had been moved and the space where it had been wasn't painted and automatic door lock didn't work which meant all our belongings had to be removed and put in the car during the day. Issue regarding the lock was raised but not resolved, other issues regarding room and cleanliness were not address with staff as was advised on check in that we had been moved from our original booked room to a better room so did not feel there was anything could be done

Having to push my way through smokers standing at the pub entrance. Generally tatty state of room. The mattress was pretty poor as well. One of the sockets didn't appear to work.

Check in was shambolic. I wasn’t asked my name or for any identification. Passwords etc for doors were scribbled on scraps of torn off paper. No TV or towels in the room. Another person tried to get into my room saying he was booked into it.

It was dirty, required you to memorise 3 x 8 digit digital codes to access your room. The shower was broken, we had to use another shower in a different part of the building. No one was there to check us in after a delayed flight, no linen, beds were not made up, pillow was lumpy, room was dirty too.

The heating was on and it was impossible to turn off, even the temperature outside reached 30 degrees during the day. I called in advance to make sure a towel would be provided without asking for it after reading so many complaints. Upon arrival the towel was not ready in the room and the reception chap that welcomed me seemed puzzled I actually needed one at all. There was a kettle on the floor (no table in sight, not even a tiny one) but no cups anywhere. The telly had been removed from the bracket on the wall. My room was meant to have a telly supposedly. I only had very few hours to sleep before my early flight in the morning when I arrived so I didn't feel like complaining to reception and not having time left to sleep afterwards... Not a bin in sight anywhere to throw away anything. The cover of the mattress had seen better days.

The rooms were awful, kettle on the floor, drawers just hanging out - the plug sockets hanging off the walls with the wires showing - did not look like a cleaner had been in the room - the toilets and bathrooms are shared with every other guest thats staying and are filthy dirt and grime everywhere and no hygiene what so ever I gave them the benefit of the doubt and wasn't going to post any review or take it further but for a month ive been trying to speak to them regards to getting back our deposit and have been ignored
