Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The bed was a bit hard and firm for our liking, but otherwise the standard of the room and facilities was very good.
Excellent service, friendly and helpful staff, warm and welcoming atmosphere in the bar, dining room and other public areas. Very good food with a wide choice on the menus.

The band played beneath our room till late when I had to be up early. However, it was a Saturday night and the band were pretty good. The shower was barely a trickle.
The food was amazing, everyone was friendly and helpful, the location and views were incredible

Rooms could do with a little refresh like a lick of paint here & there whilst keeping within the old style character of the rooms.
Location very peaceful, breakfast was spot on lovely welcome from all the staff very welcoming.

No complaints at all!
Comfortable, characterful pub accommodation in a superb location for the various attractions of the Severn valley. Excellent food too and some of the friendliest staff you could wish for.

Coffee wasn't very nice, sadly everyone needs to up their beverage game with regards to tea, coffee etc.
Breakfast was lovely, the owner was very welcoming. Needs a little updating but all in all a good stay.

Nothing was wrong - we were happy with every aspect of our stay and would recommend. Really nice, friendly staff both in the bar, reception and dining room. Great breakfast.
Super welcome by very friendly host/staff. Cosy bar and friendly locals. Our room was large with everything we needed for one overnight stay - not luxurious but more than adequate. Good comfy bed, plenty of towels etc - quiet.

Excellent stay of 4 nights. All bar staff so helpful and friendly. Food very good. Was great to meet the owner and talk all things cricket and cricketers that he knew. Would stay again.

We didnt enjoy our evening meal but the rest enjoyed their meals.
The host put us in a room away from main pub as there was a band on in main building which we thought was so considerate of them. The room was a bit dated but was warm, clean and bed really comfy. The breakfast was so nice as was the host.

Nothing we didn't like. It was good value for money. Nothing fancy and the room was a little dated but for the price it was very good. It was a great little place for our stop over on our way to visiting family.

Our room because I am disabled use a Walker we had room nine it was clean but very cold It was a long way to walk from the pub to our room and very slippery in the rain. I would go again but only in the summer.

The only criticism was the breakfast room was not as clean as it could be. There were some dead flies on the window ledges that needed cleaning away.
The room was spotless and cosy. The pub itself was lovely and good for a drink or 2. Breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked to order. Owner allowed us to take windfall apples home too!
