Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

No fault of the hotels but there was some maintenance work happening to the internet in the area and as a result, the TV didn't work and for some reason the phone signal wasn't great. Other than that, our stay was perfect.
Our room was lovely - it had a well equipped kitchenette and 2 spacious bathrooms. The location was perfect for exploring the Old Town and not too far from the newer part of the city. The hotel has an adjoining restaurant where we had breakfast and dinner and both were lovely. We would definitely come back again.

The huge flights of steps on the street if walking from the station to the property. I would recommend a taxi or Uber if you have luggage or mobility issues and coming from that direction
Fantastic apartment and right in the middle of old town. Everything was comfortable including in the bed and couch. The Concierge staff were extremely professional and very happy to help wherever possible. Highly recommend this place and will rebook again if we return to Edinburgh again.

Main road in Edinburgh, extremely quiet even though I was facing the main high street. The staff were really friendly. I had a Scottish full breakfast which was great!

The facilities were fantastic. The staff were unbelievably helpful and friendly. The location is right by the Cathedral and in the heart of the city. They supply all body wash, shampoo and conditioner in the room as well as coffee machine, water, milk etc. We arrived in the pouring rain and when we left our luggage at reception the staff out of kindness just bought over water for us all which was extremely thoughtful. The attention to detail across the board was fantastic.

We got rooms at the back building, and it was difficult and laborious to lift large luggages up and down the stairs , especially under raining. But the staff helped us with the luggages when checked in, but we checked out on Dec. 27th, and we didn’t bother to ask for help from the reception lady.

Loved everything
The property is very well placed in the heart of the Royal Mile..a very grand building. Our 1 bedroom apartment was very cosy and had everything you could want. Comfy bed great shower and very cosy lounge area. You can park car outside hotel first and unload your luggage..Daniel was straight there to meet us and help with our heavy bags! He then explained where the carpark was which is a 10 minute walk. Daniel also helped us with our bags at checkout. Would definitely recommend!

This property far exceeds expectations and provides excellent value. It is in an incredible location making everything in town easily walkable. The apartments are well-appointed (including a kitchen), comfortable, and beautiful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This was my second visit to this property and I will definitely be back.
