Although the room was large enough to fit a small table it didn't have one so I had to eat breakfast on the bed which was annoying.

Room was big and quiet. Nice bed.

A little shabby in odd corners in the bathroom though the main area was clean.

The friendly manager was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast could not be provided at the hotel as the kitchen is being refurbished but we were offered the cafe opposite or a breakfast box if leaving early. We took the latter and it was very generous!

Great location for a pit stop. Above pub and pizza place opposite you can bring food back to eat at hotel. No frills but warm, comfortable and cont. Breakfast left at door in the morning. £45 a night can't complain.

Booked an overnight stay with 2 friends in the family room. Thought the price was really reasonable with breakfast included. The kitchen was out of action but this did not prove a problem as there were a couple of places within a short walking distance to get food. Breakfast was provided in a café just over the road. Landlord and locals were very welcoming. An old grade 2 listed hotel, so worn in places but we found beds clean and comfortable. Parking was available at back of hotel.

Decorations tired. The restaurant closed at this time. Nowhere in the village to eat on a Saturday evening. Although we found a great pub in the next village.

Clean and tidy. Good packed breakfast. Friendly staff.

The bathroom needs attention, the cistern runs all the time wasting water and the toilet seat needs attention, it keeps falling off.

The breakfast was excellent and ample, the room was in good order.

    The property is tired.

It was clean, had parking and tea and coffee facilities in the rooms. Staff were welcoming and friendly with the location being excellent. The price included breakfast in the cafe over the road, which was nice.

Only negative was the bathroom! It needs a total overhaul. However we realise that work has started on the kitchen and, as it is a listed building, all these things take time. But please, in the first instance, fix the toilet seat!

Warm welcome. Location perfect for us (walking The Shropshire Way).

Sharing a bathroom isn’t really for us, however it was right next door and perfectly clean and basic

Even before arriving, when phoning the Cross Keys , Jason was super friendly and helpful! On arrival he even booked us a taxi. Without his help and knowledge we would have been in a pickle as the location is fairly remote and it was a last minute booking for an event. The beds and bedding are very cosy and the breakfast hamper was a feast!

The breakfast box didn't suit me. It had far too many very sweet things in it.

The location was very good and in the short time we were there we were able to see the main local attractions that were within walking distance. The welcome drink was a pleasant surprise.

I was woken at 05.30 by constant and very heavy ( lots of lorries etc) traffic. The carpet was not clean and was sticky to walk on. The grouting in the shower was very stained

Wonderful, friendly staff. Bedding was clean and fresh. Breakfast provided by cafe across the road due to kitchen 'work'- the breakfast was good. Clean private toilet, shower and basin.

Although the room was completely clean, the decor was generally shabby and rather dated. Unfortunately, the tv didn't work at all, and there were no instructions of any sort in the room. Also, the road outside was very busy. We needed the windows open because it was a hot, stuffy night, but that meant there was a lot of traffic noise in the room.

The check-in staff were friendly, the beds were comfortable, and the location was very convenient. Although the room was on the top floor, the windows let in enough air so that it wasn't stuffy. Everything in the room was clean. Although we hadn't expected the DIY breakfast, it was fine, and fortunately contained something my (very fussy) son would eat.
