Our main issue was the lack of storage in the room. There was nothing except one rail with 6 hangers and one drawer underneath which was already full with an iron and fan heater. There was nothing else. It was a big room and could have easily taken a set of drawers. There was a table with the kettle, coffee machine, lamp and mirror on but no drawers and no room to put anything else on there without moving the drinks things onto the floor. There were no bedside drawers, just a small shelf one of which had a radio on which I moved so I could put my things on. Just no storage. Even the bathroom had nothing except a shelf above the sink and again it was big enough to put some drawers or shelves. We are 2 women and stayed for 4 nights but had to live out of our cases as there was nowhere to unpack anything, clothes or toiletries which I think was a shame. The room was nice and spacious and lovely and warm. The cleanliness was also an issue which we did point out when checking out so they did apologise and say they would sort that. They unfortunately had a bit of an ant problem in the bathroom which I forgot to mention on checkout but that's easily sorted and not really their fault. Non of this is difficult to sort out so I would recommend it and would stay again due to the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff as I'm sure they will get this sorted :)

The staff were great, all very friendly and really helpful, especially the young lady who served us breakfast on the last few days. The main chef was good and we enjoyed the breakfast. We ate there one night and that was good too. The location was fab, just what we needed, with parking on-site and good directions given. Good communication as well. The outside room was spacious and warm. I would stay here again

Why did the manager try to divert us up a smelly side alley to round the back of the hotel after 11 pm when he was around and could let us through the front door (which he did eventually)?

No decaf coffee in the room. I paid 6:95 for 1 poached egg and 1 piece of toast. Whilst my husband paid £8:50 for a full English breakfast. Not value for money for my solitary egg on solitary toast.

We had to be moved to a different room to the one allocated as no one could find the key to the room we had been allocated, this was well handled by the staff, we were moved to room 2 which we had stayed in previously, the tv was missing from the room and the kettle didn’t work

The sofa bed had no bedding at all and was very uncomfortable. The staff could not provide us with bedding, so I suggest you check it’s there on arrival . No cold water in the room, both taps in bathroom sink were hot.

The extra sofa bed was very uncomfortable. Could feel all the springs . No reception or luggage store. Arrived early as was dropped off. Wanted to make the most of the day but nowhere to leave luggage. Young lady on bar heped us to hide the cases behind two large chairs at the side of the bar and also told he colleague on the bar who kindly said they would keep an eye on them. We were able then go out and explore the.shops etc. But we were unsettled until 3 when we could get out key and put our things in our room. A couple of other things let us down but I think they were just a lack of staff communication so will take up with hotel as wouldn't want to put anyone off going here.

I panicked when I returned to see the front door was locked. But I then realised my room key fits the back door. I would appreciate if I was advised when I checked in.

Parking was easy to find with the instructions given and it wasn't too busy. My room was clean and comfy. Just in the very centre which is exactly what I needed.

This is a very small gripe. You eat breakfast in the pub side of the building. Which isn’t as pleasant as it could be. It’s not as nice as the rest of the building. It absolutely would not stop me from staying there again, though!

Excellent standard bedrooms. Staff were fantastic. Standard of breakfast was brilliant. Room was toasty warm on arrival.
