The only thing I can think of to say is very minor - there was only 1 tea bag in the room instead of 2 upon check in and they weren’t replenished by room service either - this was quickly rectified by Reception though.

The hotel and our room were extremely clean and well maintained. The hotel has lots of nice extra features such as a water bottle refilling station and complimentary sweets at the reception. We found the location good - walking distance to Grasmere, around 20 mins drive from Windermere etc. We also caught an open top bus from the bus stop on the road outside the hotel. The breakfast was really nice - good continental and cooked breakfast options plus extra things such as pancakes that you can order from the menu. The spa was really nice and clean too.

Could not fault, perfect for a relaxed time away.

Breakfast was extremely good but lacked healthy options.

There is a friendly, relaxed atmosphere at the Daffodil and the staff cannot do enough to help. The evening meal was exceptional. The location is very special, enjoying beautiful views and having easy access to the rest of the beautiful Lake District.

The Spa is really quite nice but could use a little attention. There was nobody in to greet us so we had to find our own way through. Some of the planks on the sauna benches were split and broken and the steam room would benefit from better lighting and some aromatherapy as it is quite dark and has a damp, not particularly nice aroma when you're in there. We came back out after a couple of mins as it wasn't relaxing or enjoyable. The spa pool was absolutely lovely though

The location, the rooms, food and breakfast were all absolutely lovely. Definitely great value for money and would stay again.

Bed very hard (backs are in agony) and the pillows are very flat. Bed was 2 single beds pushed together unfortunately. No mini bar/fridge in room which is unusual and also because I am diabetic I couldn't keep my insulin refrigerated my whole stay :( There was a constant motor noise outside our room throughout each night so we could not sleep properly with the constant noise so did not get a good night's sleep for our child free break (sounded like a vent).

Cleanliness Room is excellent size. Friendly staff. Facilities especially being able to use the spa when you want to. Lovely breakfast. Lovely location and views

When having an afternoon/post breakfast nap, being woken up by noisy room servicing staff giggling and laughing loudly outside my room like school children, although I realise that rooms need to be turned over and this wasn't at an unreasonable time, yet the noise was too much and the laughing right outside my door went on for well over 30 minutes.

The food was great. The staff were friendly. I love the spa. This is my second visit and there will be a third.

Cannot think of anything that I didn’t like but would of liked the choice of a continental breakfast as I am not a great lover of cooked breakfast everyday

Loved this hotel. From the Manager to a guy who had got employee of the year 2023 & 2022 in the restaurant on both evenings were excellent 👏 The breakfast was really good and the food that we had in the restaurant on both nights was exceptional. Molten Brown products in the bathroom which was re-stocked each day. If I ever go to the Lake District again I’m going to this hotel. 10/10

It was a shame the upstairs bar closed shortly after 10pm so we had to go to the lobby bar which is small & not that comfortable. The mature male that was behind the bar was very abrupt when he eventually got round to serving us barking at us that we couldn’t have cocktails in there!? Fortunately he was relieved by a nice chap, whose customer service skills were excellent. I think the hotel need to consider keeping the upstairs bar open later so people can enjoy a drink in the comfortable sitting room near by.

Evening meal was really good, breakfast was very good too, there was plenty on offer and it was fresh & hot. Most of the staff were top notch. We used the Spa which was really good it did get very busy around 4:30 pm but we had been in a while by then so were ready to go.
