Lovely Hotel. Facilities very good. People very nice. No banging accommodation or corridor fire doors. Secure. Ideally located to the sea, the promenade, The Towner Gallerty, the theatre. The Town Centre was well within walking distance.

Very little to not like. The shower wasn't the biggest but that's the tiniest gripe.

A wonderful older hotel. There's a small car park at the side for about twelve cars which was handy. Very helpful staff on reception who were happy to let me use the car park as I arrived way too early for check in. Nice decor and a pair of lovely sitting rooms one leading onto the small bar. My room was very large. I had twin beds. The shower wasn't the largest but it worked well. Well stocked with tea and coffee in the room. The hotel is in a great location right next to Devonshire Park the Stage Door pub and a short walk to the seafront. I had a nice cooked breakfast with good service. A very enjoyable stay. I will be back at some point.

Hot room...

Stayed one night in the Willmington Suite. Had a work meeting during the day and the staff were fabulous, allowed us to take over a lounge, provided refreshments and couldn't have done enough for us. The suite was a lovely surprise very tidy, clean and comfortable. Only downer was it was so hot! The heating was on high, and I had to open 2 windows and prayed for a breeze. The room otherwise was perfect. The onsite restaurant was delightful once again staff where very attentive and the food was delicious and the portions big! This really his a gem of a place and I hope to return

Everything was great.

I come to Eastbourne for work and so far the Devonshire Park Hotel has been the best in Eastbourne. It's such a positive experience - a very charming Victorian building, warm comfortable room, great people and the restaurant with wonderful food and service is a bonus. This makes the hotel being home away from home and more. Thank you for your hospitality, I am already looking forward to my next stay.

Unfortunately, our evening meal wasn't the best, but our waitress was great which is why we didn't say anything. I think it was possibly because we were the only diners that evening as other reviews do not share our opinion.

We loved the wonderful room we had which was actually a suite with a little patio. It was fabulous! Also the staff were competent and friendly.

Breakfast on our first morning was lovely, but on our second morning, we noticed that the items were different- no hash browns and baked beans although we said that we didn’t want any when we ordered. We asked for toast and had to ask again as it didn’t arrive. The breakfast was fine, but not up to the standard of our first morning. On checking out, it was pointed out that the room we had been given was not the category we had booked and so the hotel kindly apologised and deducted from the price of settling the bill, but although we didn’t really mind, it was a little disappointing and we weren’t really sure why this had happened. We don’t stay in hotels very often, so when we do, we like to spend a little more in order to get a really good room and on this occasion we didn’t receive that.

Room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The hotel provided a good hospitality tray, and soft towels. Everywhere was very clean. When we were out for the evening, our room was refreshed. Reception was friendly and efficient. Free car parking on site was really appreciated. There was a lift which was a welcome surprise in an old building. The location was very convenient and in a quiet street.
