Warm greeting, shown room facilities, private parking, pride in accommodation and facilities, very clean room / WC. Quiet and peaceful, small garden facilities to the rear of hotel. Everything I needed was catered for. Breakfast was excellent, dining area very clean & welcoming.

Parking was very difficult, I had to park some distance away in front of someone else's property, and then move my car closer to the hotel later on. The host did say there was hotel parking somewhere but it wasn't clear where. There were some lights in my room I was unable to easily turn off, including an LED light underneath a rack that was actually broken and being held up by sellotape. All nitpicks, honestly, the room in general was clean and fine and nothing really bothered me.

Was away for work and this fit the bill perfectly - room was a fair size, all the facilities you'd need were present and correct and the stay was absolutely fine. The host was very friendly and welcoming, and showed me to my room and told me everything I'd need to know about my room (including, interestingly, the heat pads behind the mirrors in the bathroom that stopped it from steaming up post-shower.) The breakfast was decent too.

Very clean hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Parking was available along the street outside the hotel and other hotels close by. Room was comfortable, bed was big and good mattress, bath was big too, both fitted in quite easy. We both would be happy to stay there again.

The bar could have been better set up. It would have been good to have had a choice of at least one hand pulled ale and the prices were pretty high for a small town venue.

The staff were excellent; genuinely friendly and helpful and the owner couldn’t do enough to make us feel welcome. The room was warm and comfortable and was spotless on our arrival. The location of the hotel couldn’t be better. It was just a short walk from the main town square, which had plenty to offer.

Quite expensive compared to local alternatives but it a place with lots of character which attracts a premium.

Lovely large room with great bath. bed was very large and comfortable. Breakfast was first rate. Location is superb on lovely Frenchgate close to the town centre. On site car parking was very useful.

The tv wasn’t working properly and no WiFi on tv

Very helpful I told them in advance I have additional needs such as autism and learning disabilities and it was my first time staying on my own as soon as I arrived staff was very supportive helped with bags and explained clearly on how to use the facilities said if I had any questions or concerns I can go straight to them , very comfortable beds and very clean would definitely stay at this hotel again

The shutters on the window did not cover the light coming from streetlight outside, it has bothered me a lot. My window was overlooking the main street, it hasn't protected from the noise outside, could hear everyone talking, I am sensitive to noise. Old windows. Better to have a room, overlooking the other side. A bit overpriced.

Hospitable staff, friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very good, there are choices. Coffee is so-so. Room is on a small side, but comfy and has everything you need. I likes the table lamps in the places where they needed. Good bedding. Good toiletries provided.

We were very warmly greeted upon arrival. Parking was available on site . The room was very pleasant with a nice big Queen Bed. Great coffee and tea facilities in the room. Breakfast was excellent! and very pleasantly served. We had a nice glass of champagne in the hotel bar . 5 minute walk into the town square

No complaints at all but note that the hotel restaurant is only for breakfast - it is not open for evening meals. Wasn't a problem as there are plenty of places to eat in Richmond within easy walking distance.

Lovely room with character. Bedroom and public rooms all clean and well presented. All staff helpful and obliging.Hotel is situated in a quiet part of Richmond. Nice hearing the church clock chiming during the day.

The hotel uses unrestricted street parking, The street is very busy. As a backup, the hotel has limited parking somewhere ,but we did not have to use it.

Great freshly cooked breakfast. Very close to the town centre and a lot of restaurants. Italian just round the corner.

Even though the room good and bed comfortable the windows are not sound proof. I could hear the noise of the truck and cars outside. Even though the traffic is not busy but was disturbed the noise from the vehicles. The WiFi is not constant as well , the signal sometimes stronger and sometimes difficult even to connect.

I had a pleasant welcome from David. Check in was smooth and quick. David showed me the room and explained how things work in the room and was very helpful. The room was adequate for a single person. Coffee , Tea and other amenities were excellent. Bed was comfortable.
