The food was exceptional quality and very generous portions. Both Sharon & Steve were lovely hosts making us feel very welcome and made Blue, our whippet feel like part of the pub! All staff were friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend and will definitely be staying again. The building itself was historical and showed character features which added to the magic of The Greyhound at Ganton. Centrally located to get out and about to explore different locations in the car, secure free parking. Felt very relaxed whilst staying here; just what was needed.

Very remote, bar and restaurant closed on Sunday all day, television reception very bad.

The only thing I think could have been a little better for me only, as it is a personal preference, was the Eton Mess Sundae was made with squirty cream and not fresh, but this was only a minor distraction as the sundae was very nice and tasty.

The owner and assistant Alice made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast and dinner were hot and plentiful. The bill for the evening meal was extremely reasonable and the food delicious. We asked for a twin bedded room with bath and got both, and the room we were given had the added bonus of an adjoining bedroom which my daughter appreciated as I snore apparently. The room was nice and warm and the water hot and plentiful throughout our stay. Everywhere in the Inn was very clean and looked well cared for.

Host was friendly, room was clean and well equipped, accommodated our needs well. The meal was great and really great to be able to park the car, have dinner and a drink and then walk across to our room. Breakfast was good.

The Greyhound was perfectly situated for our visit to Scampston walled garden , Yorkshire Wolds and Flamborough Head. We were given a warm welcome and escorted to our court yard room by friendly Alice. Room was lovely, light, spacious and cosy with lots of storage. Excellent power shower. Thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts ( especially the cafetiere rather than a cup of coffee )and evening meals , plenty of choice, high quality ingredients, presented beautifully by friendly staff. Steve the proprietor was really sociable and attentive. Overall an exceptionally relaxing stay.

There wasn't a single thing we disliked. They have got this spot on!

We loved how clean it was! We loved the staff and how friendly and helpful they were, NOTHING was too much trouble. we loved the price especially considering the size of the room! We loved that it was warm and cosy and we absolutely LOVED the menu and the food. We spent the whole time warm, full and happy. I recommend this place unreservedly!

Everything was so good, there was nothing really. My only feedback in this area might be having the fire lit in the restaurant.

We chose The Greyhound because of it's close proximity to the Wolds Way which we were walking, and it didn't disappoint. We received a very warm welcome from Steve on our arrival, and our courtyard room was spacious yet cosy. We ate in the restaurant every night and the food and service were really good-my gluten and dairy free request was well catered for. It was great having 'hands on' owners Steve and Sharon, and nothing was too much trouble. I will certainly recommend to friends and family!

Chose location for ease of access but road noise was constant. Sound insulation between rooms could also be improved. Limited choice at breakfast but good quality.

Warm welcome. Lovely large room with comfortable bed, seating area and modern bathroom. On-site restaurant very good.
