Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNo remote for the TV and the tv buttons didn't work that well either. Time for a new one I feel. Toilet paper roll holder behind the toilet so makes it hard to use unless your a contortionist. Shower head holder useless as the head drops and the water sprays on the back wall so had to jam the bath plug behind it. Small issues but just distract from what is a very nice place to stay.
Great location and price. Staff were very helpful. Rooms were clean and tidy. Excellent breakfast. Good off street parking.

United KingdomThe only option for evening meal was an expensive "tasting plate", no other choice available, not what one hoped for after a long journey. Upstairs our room was a disapointment. A beautiful old building with an ultra modern room. Cold hard composite flooring, maybe easy to keep clean but cold and harsh with no rugs. All the furniture was mirrored glass, dressing table, bedside tables, wardrobe, even picture frame and tissue box! Sadly the TV wouldn't swivel on its stand to face the bed - where else to sit and watch it - so picture was slightly blurred. Also there was only one bedside reading light, not helpful in a double room. The bathroom was clean and modern but the wash basin was so high even my 6ft husband found it awkward. And the kettle wouldn't fit under the tap to be filled! I feel maybe it just wasn't in keeping with the beautiful old building and perhaps the management should try spending a night there as if they were a guest.
The ground floor was cosy and breakfast was very good, served by friendly staff. The bedroom was warm and clean.

The location was good for us as we were working 3 miles away. The food was fantastic. It exceeded our expectations. every course was superb, great presentation, great quality products, decent portion sizes. it was real treat for us. even the scrambled eggs in the morning we bang on. Thanks to the chef and the staff for making us so welcome. Will definitely staff again if in the area.

United KingdomBed was very uncomfortable and creaky. Bruised legs from wooden foot of bed and spring mattress ruined both our backs. Took over an hour to fill the tub for a bath. The bedroom heater made constant noise. Pillows were so flat they were basically non existent.
Staff were fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. Food was amazing. Very nice dining area.

United KingdomThe only downside for me was the desk in the room was very poorly lit and made it difficult to work on, but moving all the table lamps helped.
My room in the annex to the hotel was very comfortable if somewhat 'individually' styled. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was nicely appointed. The dinner in the restaurant in the evening was delicious and the breakfast was very nice as well.

United KingdomBreakfast was adequate not as good as we would have expected in a venue well recognised; ok but not exceptional. Storage space in the room was inadequate and beds described as large double certainly were not that.

United KingdomA bit tired decore in room. Plug in sink didn't work, but fixed as soon as we said. Restaurant dinner menu a bit fancy for the type of accommodation, consequently empty. Would suggest an additional plainer menu more suited to type of guest. Cottage pie, steak and ale pie, lasagne, chicken and chips.
Easy to find with a restaurant on site. Clean, warm, and comfortable. Lovely welcoming staff.

United KingdomThe room was quite dated and basic. The bathroom looked tired with old tiles and peeling paint on the woodwork. There was no facility for streaming channels on the TV even though the remote control had buttons for it. The accommodation was in a different building from the main photo too. The restaurant also only offered a 6 course tasting menu for a Friday night for around £60 which was quite steep for meeting another friend, so we chose a nearby local restaurant instead.
Great location, as wanted a getaway place. Intended to explore Bridgend and Porthcawl, so it was very convenient to get there from the hotel. There was an excellent restaurant, El Prado nearby, that was easy to get to. Staff were excellent and very helpful. The room was really warm, and the box of tissues was helpful as I had a bit of a cold! The room was quiet, and you could practically park outside.
