Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaNot much to say here!
The online check-in option made everything a breeze when I got there, which was earlier than expected but they were able to accommodate my early arrival. Wi-fi worked just fine, location was perfect for my purposes there but also just a short walk to Hyde Park which made for a lovely run at sunrise.

FranceThese are my observations: The decor in the rooms is a little dull (but not an issue). The double bed was up against the wall which meant you had to climb over the other person to get in and out which is not easy in the middle of the night when it is dark to go to the loo ! Some extra hooks to hang up coats would be useful as the wardrobe is a tiny single cupboard so not much space. Extra drawers in the bedroom would also be useful (the ones provided are way too small). The bedroom was rather hot (March), even though the heating was not switched on, so we had to open the window a bit which lets in the street noise. The sofa needs some big cushions to support your back as it is very deep and slippery (leatherette material).
We stayed in room 404 (one-bedroom) from 20-26 March. This is the second time we’ve stayed here as the location is excellent to walk to the tube, pubs, restaurants, supermarkets - you don’t need a car. The room was very quiet with no street noise when the windows are closed. The reception staff were very welcoming each time we came and went and housekeeping staff kept the place very clean and stocked up. They provided teabags, coffee, sugar, milk capsules and washing up liquid. Room 404 has good kitchenette facilities and seating area with sofa/dining table with 2 chairs and a coffee table. The bedroom is a little cramped but has everything you need. The bathroom is small but has a good-sized shower and huge, fluffy towels.

United KingdomOur room overlooked other buildings which had security lighting which woke us up as it flickered when triggered by something. This is not something the hotel can control but darker curtains might help block this.
Nice apartment in a great location a short walk from Gloucester road tube. Kitchen facilities and comfortable bed.

United States of AmericaThis property looks and feels really old and worn. The elevator is super small and would only fit 1 or 2 people at a time with luggage. There was an annoying light that kept turning on and off outside all night that the curtains weren’t able to block out.
The location is fantastic. There’s lots of restaurants nearby and I personally like staying in the Kensington area. The room was spacious.

United States of AmericaElevator did not work. At All. Staff offered to carry things every time we came in but it was annoying to hike up stairs. Also main TV did not work until two tech visits. Figured out to change cable connectivity. Clearly has seen some serious use since we stayed here last year. Stains on hallway rugs obvious signs of this.
Location. Staff was Great. Apartment was spacious.

United States of AmericaWhen I arrived I was told the lift was not working and I was on the 5th floor. Luckily they fixed it. They told me that they had emailed this fact beforehand......but it was buried in some email from Booking.com. They need to have a Nespresso coffee maker in the apartment. That would be most welcome. It would not cost them much.
Clean. Good housekeeping. Good location. Nice front desk. Beds were comfortable. Reasonably priced. The one bed apartment on the 5th floor was logically designed.

SingaporeIf I had to pick something to improve, our bed was very soft on one side which made us wonder if this was a sofa bed turned bed.
This was THE best place we’ve stayed in London. It is super near the tube station Gloucester Road. Just a mere 2 minutes walk. That station has the district green and circle yellow line and the picadilly line to Heathrow Airport. I realised in my many times to London that rather than being central, it’s much better to get a place that has several train lines. That makes going anywhere easy. There is a Tesco nearby so we could get groceries quickly. The apartment was very clean and huge. Everyday 2-3 staff would clean your room. We had such great service from all the staff including the cleaning crew. We left the oven grill dirty after breakfast, thinking we were going to clean it the next day after breakfast but while we were out, the superb cleaning crew had cleaned that up as well. They really took the effort to clean the apartment even though we weren’t checking out yet. The bathroom was clean and had a heated towel rack. There is a microwave, oven, hob, plates, cups, cutlery, fridge - perfect to make a proper meal or have quick meals. No seasoning or oil or salt/pepper so we didn’t cook per se. But Gloucester area has so many good pubs and cafes in a 15 minute radius so that was perfect for us. The TV in the living room had Netflix. You’re able to keep your bags and luggages before and after your stay.

GreeceBathroom could be a bit more spacious if the bathtub is replaced by a shower cabin, so the washbasin and the toilet could be a bit bigger. Soundproofing would be highly appreciated - a bit noisy corridor specially during early morning hours.
Excellent location - 1 minute walk from the underground, 10 minute walk to Kensington Gardens and Natural History Museum, close to super market and pubs/restaurants. Very clean and spacious apartment, fully equipped kitchen, elevator, heating, thankfully without carpeted floors (vary rare for English hotel). Very good wi-fi. Everyday room cleaning service. Very polite and helpful staff. Value for money.
